Amanda Hindlian Global Investment Research New York manda is global chief operating officer of Global Investment Research (GIR). She is also president of the Global Markets Institute (GMI), which is the firm's research think tank. Amanda is a member of the Partnership Committee, Americas Diversity Committee, and Firmwide Conduct and Operational Risk Committee. Previously, she was a member of the Executive Office (EO), working with Goldman Sachs' chairman and chief executive officer, as well as the president and chief operating officer of the firm, to develop and implement key strategic initiatives. Amanda also oversaw the Client Strategy Group within the Office of the Chairman and was secretary to the Management Committee. Prior to serving in the EO, she was senior director of GMI as well as chief administrative officer of GIR and chief of staff to the head of GIR. Amanda joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an equity research analyst covering the semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment sectors. She was named managing director in 2010 and partner in 2016.
