Christina Pierce

Acclaimed cricket artist, Christina Pierce, spent her childhood in Cornwall where her love of the game grew from her cricket coach father. She graduated from Central School of Art, London, and has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad.

Her paintings hang on the walls of both County and England players, her work can be found in both Private and Public collections in the UK and abroad. Christina's shows include the Royal Academy of Art, Lords and Brit Oval. Her most recent commission is a portrait of England captain Andrew Strauss. Hours spent on the boundary throughout her life have given her inspiration and an insight which is evident in her paintings. With her box of boards and paints, she has captured the spirit and atmosphere of the game as well as depicting players from the youthful grass roots to the test arena, featuring such players as Shane Warne, Andrew Strauss, Allister Cooke, Freddie Flintoff, Stuart Broad, Steve Harmisson, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann, Graham Onions, Matthew Hoggard, Sachin Tendulkar and Viv Richards, among others.

Praise for Christina's work has been forth-coming from cricket fans and art lovers alike and her ability to catch that certain moment that defines all that is good about cricket is clear to see.

Toby Wiggins

Toby Wiggins was born in Dorset, where he continues to live and work. His affinity with the rich and varied landscapes of the 'Wessex' region, stems from experiences growing up in rural Dorset and periods spent working on local farms. He hopes that the small scale, en plein air landscapes are imbued with a strong 'sense of place' and express the great affection he has for his home region.

In 2007 Toby explored the greater bounds of this region and recorded in landscape studies and portraits, the working rural communities that exist in symbiosis with the land

This was exhibited as the BP Portrait Travel Award in 2007 at the National Portrait Gallery and was further developed towards a similarly themed solo show at the Dorset County Museum.

Tin Odescalchi

Born in Holland of Hungarian descent, Tin trained at Gloucestershire College of Art before attending the Akademie den bildenden Kunst in Vienna under Rudolph Hausner. Tin began her career in the early 1980’s specializing in equine portraits. Tin how paints primarily landscapes and nudes in oil and draws deeply and she finds inspiration in the British countryside having recently completed an exciting series of semi-abstract landscapes in Scotland. She is currently working on a series of paintings of the Gloucestshire countryside where she now lives with her husband and three children.

Teresa Lawton

Born in Poole, Teresa now works from her art studio in the historical village of Corfe Castle on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, and is inspired by the environmentally unique surroundings on her doorstep. She walks every day, as being so familiar with the coastline & landscape of Dorset is a key component in the way her work develops.

"My paintings are about the things that leave an impression in my mind or my heart and the landscape is the ground on which I explore these thoughts and possibilities.

I paint about a solitary inner world, which is affected by the memories of places or of people and animals I have known, loved or lost.

They may be about dreams, colours or shadows, simple marks in the sand or random objects which get washed up along the coast whose shapes inspire me.

I see forgotten things that have been discarded and for some reason I remember them and paint about them; they hold some mystery for me".
