If no, sufficient cover is provided over the pipes to protect the pipes from crushing.

Rock is excavated to minimum overdepth and backfilled and graded with loose, moist earth or small gravel.

All joints are filled with mortar.

Backfill material is placed manually in layers of 15cm depth, moistened and compacted.

Manholes, catch basins, street inlets and area drains are large enough to fit a man, and provided with ladder rungs.

Street inlets, headwalls and concrete aprons, and area drains are placed in positions as shown in the Drawings.

CURBS & GUTTER INSPECTION CHECKLIST

150 mm layers of cinders or approved clean permeable granular materials provide bedding for the curb/ gutter

Forms are smoothed to leave the finished works true to the dimensions on the Drawings, with the surface finish as specified

Sections are separated by sheet templates placed not less than 50 mm greater than the depth of the curb/gutter.

The top of the curb/gutter is floated smooth and the edges rounded to the radius shown on the Drawings.

Separate mortar coat or working dry cement onto the surface is not used for finishing.

Forms used against the face of combination curb and gutter is removed as soon as the concrete can sufficiently hold its place.

Forms used against curb or gutter are removed within 24 hours after concrete is placed.

Expansion joints set at 25 m. intervals coincide with the expansion joints of cement concrete pavements or as shown in the Drawings.

Junction boxes or manholes are thoroughly cleaned of any accumulation of silt, debris or foreign matter.

NOTE : This form must be submitted to The OPERATIONS, duly accomplished and signed by the corresponding Contractor's Personnel-in-Charge at least 24 hours before actual INSPECTION.
