An eligibility list may be created for similar casual, part-time, full-time, and term positions DUTIES Reporting to the Business Development Manager, and as a member of the Marketing and Web Presence team the Alumni Engagement Officer is responsible for developing mass communication, planning, administering and executing projects, coordinating events and awards, developing personal communication and building relationships to further alumni initiatives. Acting as a key liaison to College faculty and administrators, the incumbent is responsible for developing and maintaining an alumni editorial calendar and creating and implementing new initiatives as well as all College-level marketing communications activities aimed at engaging alumni. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through in-person and online interactions, preparing speeches, speaking notes and presentations for senior staff and alumni, responding in a timely and effective manner to all alumni inquiries and coordinating alumni participation at events are also key components of this position. This position is responsible for the development of effective alumni communication plans and providing advice to supervisors and other staff and stakeholders on related public relations, issues management, crisis communications, marketing and fundraising. In addition, the incumbent will develop, post and share content on a regular basis to the website and other digital channels, analyze alumni engagement metrics and develop ideas and recommend tools to improve the effectiveness of communication, industry engagement and alumni giving. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Diploma in communications or marketing from a post-secondary institution; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Relevant work experience in a related field.
