ALPHA OMEGA OF GREATER LOS ANGELESLos Angeles

It was an honor and pleasure to attend a fascinating and informative lecture on the future of healthcare in the US recently. I applaud Dean

Emeritus, Dr. Harold Slavkin for a brilliant lecture.

I am excited about our upcoming Alpha Omega international convention, this year in Los Angeles from December 26th to December 31st. Dentists from around the globe with their families will gather for 5 days of comaraderie, learning and festivities.

You truly should not miss this rare opportunity to enjoy a magnificentcelebration of international fraternalism.

Lectures by masters such as Drs Stanley Melamed, Ziv Simon, Marshall Fagin and Bill Becker. Immediately following the Friday afternoon lectures there will be Kabbalat Shabat dinner. Also planned are a city tour, a golf day, capped off by the Honors Night banquet. Don’t miss it. The next one in LosAngeles may not be for another 50 years!

Kindest regards, Rami Etessami

ALPHA OMEGA TRIBUTE PROGRAMOur chapter has sponsored the Apha Omega Tribute Program where we have recognized when a frater has lost a spouse, loved one or there was a celebration within the family that you want to recognize. For years this program was run efficiently by Char Gilbert, Nanette Cutler, Bernice Bloom and Al Rubel. Today this is still an excellent vehicle that we can utilize to print the tributes in our bulletin to keep the membership informed.

Therefore you may want to remember the life cycles of loved ones, colleagues and friends. You also may want to honor significant occasions of all kinds with our Standard, Gold and Platinum Tribute Cards. We make it easy to Donate and Celebrate.

Your gift helps to support the U.S. Alpha Omega Foundation’s Global Oral Health Initiative (GOHI) fund to improve the human condition through dental health, education, research and access to care.

Tributes can be purchased by calling the Foundation office at 301-738- 6400 or

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

Alpha Omega’s international convention will convene in Los Angeles for the first time in more than a half century.

Check out the website (AO.org) for details regarding registration for the convention and the two half-days of outstanging continuing education.

Please consider registering for this special event and welcoming fraters and families who will travel great distances to participate.

“Fraters” from Europe, Israel, Australia, Mexico, Canada and the many chapters across the U.S. will congregate at the Century City Intercontinental hotel this December. Hosting this convention is a golden opportunity to discover the richness of our many commonalities.

We will need local volunteers to assist with hosting of convention events including Universal Studios tour, an Alpha Omega Foundation event, sightseeing activities and a golf outing.

Please refer to the website AO.ORG for the details of dates and activities.

Please contact Bob Simon ([email protected]) for any questions and to discuss participation.
