Why I Give to OLP

Alumnae Giving Alumnae investment supports the next

generation of OLP women leaders & innovators.

I am a believer that my core characteristics were

strengthened and enriched by my time at OLP. It is my hope that by giving back we can assist other women to grow

stronger academically, spiritually and emotionally during these formative years. May this circle of blessing just continue and continue.

I give to OLP because my compassion, leadership

and ambition were nurtured here. Being a woman of peace and committed to my community is at the core of who I am

today. I hope OLP continues help young women not only fulfill their academic potential but also their potential as compassionate leaders in their careers and communities.

AS AN ALUMNA OF OLP, you share a rich tradition of education with nearly 8,000 other women. The charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet lives within each of you. Guided by the Catholic values and CSJ tradition for more than 130 years, young women graduate each year and become part of a very extraordinary group of women.

Living in an ever- changing and increasingly complex world, OLP continues to provide a stellar educational opportunity for 750 young women annually. As the only all-girls Catholic High School in the region, the particular experience provided at OLP is even more unique and needed.

As OLP looks to the future a key priority is to continue to form hearts and minds in the Catholic tradition while also equipping the students to the academic rigors relevant in the 21st century . In the Strategic Plan 2015-2020 an important goal emerged. We will embrace the charism of unity and reconciliation, as manifested through gentleness, peace and joy to empower and facilitate the growth of each member of the OLP community’s relationship with Jesus Christ; and in turn, all will solidify their dedication to serve, without distinction, the “dear neighbor.” To read more about our Strategic Plan, please visit our website at www.aolp.org/strategicplan

You are poised at this critical time in the history of OLP to solidify your dedication to the “dear neighbor”…the current and future students of OLP. It is imperative in this world, that OLP exists. You have an opportunity to ensure, by your investment today, that young women will carry the charism forward. This world needs OLP graduates like you.

As you are considering your philanthropic plans, please include OLP. No gift is too small. Every gift is important and together we make a significant impact. Recall the most significant moments you experienced as a student at OLP. It is remarkable to think that each day, a current student is experiencing a moment like that and becoming “all of which she is capable.”

Thank you for your dedication and for your investment in your alma mater. Our rigorous curriculum includes access to

more than 47 classes in the STEAM disciplines of Science, technology, engineering, arts and

math (STEAM). Subjects are integrated into the curriculum, giving our girls the opportunity to

learn and innovate across a variety of disciplines.

The OLP Department of Religious Studies operates from the CSJ tradition of “Faith in

Action”. The curriculum is rooted in balancing formation with information, and is integrated

across all disciplines under the guidance of the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
