    Product Solutions

    Development Solutions

  • 1. Reduced Cost Stable and low price of aluminum compared to copper and steel Aluminum cost is 75% cheaper than copper *LME, Dec. 2012.

LME Prices 2008-2011: Aluminum vs. Copper

    2. Quick Installation Easy to use - threaded fitting connection method Thread type : UNF, UNEF - ANSI(ASME) B1.1 standards Simple – no special skills required; lowered labor costs No welding required – no costly welding equipment

    3. Operation Specially designed Lok ferrules and O-rings provide complete airtight seal Anti-slip clip provides stable and proper tube installation Fitting will not be assembled if ferrule is in wrong position

    4. Applications Aluminum fittings and valves are widely used in the automotive, electronics industries

due to their excellent mechanical properties, light weight, and stable price Applicable for R22, high pressure R-410A refrigerant and hot & cold 2-way A/C systems Suitable for conventional copper, aluminum and polyamide coated AL tubes Various sizes: 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4” Various types: union, elbow, service valves, valve connectors, reducers, tee, etc.

    5. Improved A/C Functionality Polyamide coated AL tubes keep warm and cold air inside better than copper tubes

which have higher temperature dissipation rate Polyamide provides excellent insulation – saving energy and money

    6. Corrosion Resistant Anodized surface ensures increased surface hardness, corrosion resistance, durability, and clean appearance

    7. Patents Registered patents and trademark; applied for PCT

    8. Environmentally Friendly Made with eco-friendly aluminum material; complies with RoHS Aluminum products can be easily recycled

    1. Select the correct tube size (see Tables 2, 2.1, 2.2 on page #10)

    2. Cut the aluminum or copper tube with a tube cutter a. Remove any burrs from end (end must be straight and even) b. The end of the tube to be inserted must be straight (1.18” / 30 mm) 3. Fully insert the tube into the fitting a. Ensure the ferrule is in correct position. Fitting will not be assembled if ferrule is in wrong position NOTE: Ferrule is not a reusable part. Replace if broken b. Ensure tube is clean, free of debris, rust, scale, oil, grease, or

excessive coating c. Fully insert the tube (a minimum of 0.8” / 22 mm) through the grip ring until it adheres to the O-ring NOTE: To remove tube, turn tube counter-clockwise while

    pulling from fitting

    4. Tighten with wrench Tighten until there’s no gap between male and female nuts

(see torque value in Table 1)

    5. Check for leakage After the installation is complete, check for the leakage by

spraying with soapy water or using a leakage detector
