What is aluminium sliding folding door ?• Aluminium Sliding / folding doors are stackable folding doors of multiple panels that

slide and stack neatly to one or two sides.

• This allows for a seamless transition between indoors and outside entertainment areas free of any barrier or obstruction.

• With multiple combination openings of up to 10 or 12 meters can be easily managed.

• Our aluminium sliding folding doors are made from robust aluminium profiles ensuring rigidity and strength. In addition only the finest double bogey stainless steel and nylon rollers are used to ensure the door glides easily into position.

Different types of aluminium sliding doors


STANDARD ALUMINIUM DOORSET SPECIFICATION• The aluminium doorset is formed from non-thermal aluminium extruded box section. The outer framework is constructed from 100mm by 45mm box section and the door leaves are constructed with 55mm wide stiles and 100mm deep top and bottom rails. Weather stripping is standard on door stiles and top and bottom rails. An option of different midrails can also be included to increase the strength of the door.

• The leading swing door is fitted with a euro-cylinder operated hook lock and all other leaves are secured by top and bottom flush bolts. Depending on the door system and size, a minimum of three ball bearing hinges are fitted to each leaf. Various tracked aluminium thresholds are offered to suit the site requirements.


Advantages & Disadvantages

• They give you a 100% opening.

• Single door can be used for easy access without having to opening the whole door.

•Weatherproof. With the correct bottom track, this door is one of the most weather resistant doors on the market.

• If not operated properly the hardware can get damaged making the door very difficult to use.

• There will always be some sort of track on the floor and in the case of the weatherproof door, this track cannot be submerged into the ground unless there is a step between inside and outside.
