Drama Production

“Noughts and Crosses” the well-known Malorie Blackman book has been adapted and is currently being performed and organised by 27 Year 12 and five Year 11 students from AGGS and AGSB.

“Noughts and Crosses” describes an alternative history where the African people gained a technological and organizational advantage over the Europeans rather than the other way around, and made Europeans their slaves. At the time of the story, slavery has been abolished, but there is a segregation which operates to keep the Crosses (the Africans) in control of the Noughts (Europeans).

The play will be performed in AGGS drama studio on Thursday 5th February and Friday 6th February at 7:30pm. Tickets are £3 and can be bought from AGSB or AGGS reception from Monday. Tickets are very limited and so will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis.

Careers Convention

We will be hosting a careers convention for Years 10-12 and parents on Wednesday, 11 March 6.30-8.30pm. A full programme will be sent out via Parentmail nearer the time.
