At this year’s Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the International Wine Challenge in London our Viura and Malvasia blend from the 2012 vintage was awarded a Silver Medal and Bronze at Decanter Awards. Its bigger brother, Altos R Pigeage 2009, a classy, mo- dern blend of Tempranillo and Graciano took Gold at Con- cours Mondial de Bruxelles and Silver at Decanter World Awards, two of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Other Altos R wines that received medals were: Altos R Tempranillo 2011 (Silver at CMB, Bronze at IWC); Altos R Tempranillo 2010 (Bronze at IWC); Altos R Crianza 2010 (Bronze at IWC) and Altos R Reserva 2005 (Bronze at IWC) ALTOS R WINES TAKE 10 MEDALS AT THE WORLD’S TOP COMPETITIONS The judges’ tasting notes say it is “a fresh and grapey wine with honeysuckle ripeness on the nose.
