In a career spanning over 30years, Dr. Barr has served asManaging Principal and Principal in

Charge of Design for projects world-

wide.

Award-winning designs forembassies, medical facilities, hotels,restaurants, office buildings and

custom homes have all beenrendered in an environmentally-sensitive, aesthetically pleasing idiom

that is responsive to the surroundings.

1997 national president of theAmerican Institute of Architects, hebrings considerable leadership skills

and knowledge of current andfuture directions in architecture andconstruction. The author of Green

Architecture: Strategies forSustainable Design, he is at thecutting edge of ecologically sound

design practices.Dr. Barr has a PhD in

environmental design and hastaught for over twenty years as aprofessor of architecture and

planning. He has lectured widely atinternational professional symposiaand universities including Harvard,

Yale, Virginia Tech, Florida, Catholicand Maryland.
