Hey FBLAers, We have several announcements for this week: Chapter Meeting: Alpharetta FBLA will be hosting a Soft Skills Showdown at the meeting this Thursday, November 1st in the auditorium at 7:45 AM ! To learn more about business etiquette, dress, and performance in an entertaining way, come to the meeting. There will be donuts and prizes! Bubbly Boba: Support Alpharetta FBLA by purchasing bubble tea on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Bubbly Boba located HERE ! On every Tuesday and Thursday until December 6th, a percentage of the purchases go toward FBLA. It's a quick and easy way to help out your club, and all you have to do is say you are a part of Alpharetta FBLA. Football: Volunteer at Alpharetta High School's game this Friday, November 2nd from 5:45 to 10:00 pm, and earn easy service hours! Sign up HERE ! We will be having our next chapter meeting in the auditorium at 7:45 am tomorrow to discuss and start FBLA Business Achievement Awards and FBLA Community Service Awards.

Essentially, BAAs and CSAs are other great avenues to get involved in FBLA and a way for you to start working on your leadership skills, business skills, and goals. BAAs are split up into 3 levels: Future, Business, and America. Then, CSAs are an easy way to log your volunteer hours and get credit for it.

If you wish to begin them now, email Mrs. Sweet at [email protected] asking for your BAA Future Level and CSA login.

If you would like to volunteer at the AHS concession stands for our next game against Centennial on September 28th from 5:45- 10:00 pm, Sign up here!If you would like to volunteer at the Scarecrow Harvest on September 29th from 10 am to 3 pm, Sign up here!

We had an incredible meeting this morning! For those of you who could not come, our guest speaker Jean Marie Richardson, the founder of iFOLIO, discussed the importance of work experience, service, extracurricular activities, and leadership. By utilizing them, she was able to create her successful company, a link to which can be found here.

Additionally, Fall Rally dues should be handed in to Mr. Hatcher by the end of the day on Friday, September 7th! The Fall Rally will take place on Thursday, October 11thin Perry, Georgia and will be a great opportunity for you to enjoy rides with other FBLA members from around the state, learn more about FBLA, and practice your competitive events! In order to sign up, you must have paid your $30 membership dues!Admission with unlimited rides: $35Admission without unlimited rides (you can pay for individual rides at the fair) : $20 Checks can be made payable to Alpharetta FBLA.

To sign up as a volunteer at Game Night and help senior citizens at Project Care at the Mansions of Alpharetta or Johns Creek Senior Living on September 8th or 9th, sign up HERE . To sign up as a volunteer for the setting up and taking down of flags for 9/11 on Monday, September 10th and Thursday, September 13th, sign up HERE.On Saturday, September 15th from 1 to 4 pm, Ocee Library will be hosting a Career and Job Fair that students should arrive to with their resume to obtain an internship, volunteer, or career opportunity.
