Spring 2014

Bid DaySeven young women were invitedto join the Xi Pledge Class of AlphaEpsilon Phi. Sisters loved meetingthe new members as well as posingfor pictures in our matching shirts!

It has been an exciting, yet busy semester for AEPhi!We raised money for several philanthropies, came inthird in Greek Week, and welcomed seven new sistersto our chapter. Although we are all excited for this

semester to be over, this means saying goodbye to 33of our lovely seniors. We will miss them tremendouslyand we wish them the best of luck in the next step of

their lives!

Sharsheret Pink DayOn February 12th, we dresed in pink tosupport our philanthropy for SharsheretPink Day. We raised awareness aboutbreast cancer and about the services

Sharsheret provides.

HuskythonAEPhi joined the larger UConn Communityfor Huskython, the eighteen hour dance

marathon. Through this fun but exhaustingevent, UConn raised $457,581.04 for the

Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Wewere so excited to be paired with Grace,

our Miracle Child, again!

Big/Little RevealThe Xi Pledge class was all smiles when theyfound out who their Big Sister was. A Big

Sister serves as a mentor to the new memberas she transitions into being a part of the

sisterhood!

Paddle RevealIt is a tradition in AEPhi to make your Big

Sister a paddle. The Xi Pledge Class not onlymade their Big Sisters paddles, but they alsomade paddles to thank the Vice President ofNew Member Education and the New Member

Assistants for their hard work!

InitiationAEPhi excitedly welcomed the Xi PledgeClass into its sisterhood on March 26th.These girls were so thrilled to become the

best sisters they could be!

FormalAEPhi's formal was held at the Imperial Roomin Danielson, Connecticut. To go along withthe masquerade theme, we were givenbeautiful masks to wear for the night!

Sisterhood RetreatWe headed to Mystic Aquarium for a funfilled day. We not only got to explore theaquarium, but we also got to walk around

Mystic Village, where we could eat and shop!

Kick for KidsOur annual kickball tournament, Kick forKids, was such a success! This year weadded the Mr. AEPhi competition, where aparticipant from each fraternity competed indifferent obstacles to raise money and get

points. Everyone had so much funparticipating, and we are looking forward to

doing it again next year!

Greek WeekWe were partnered with Beta Chi Theta, BetaTheta Pi, Iota Phi Theta, Lambda Alpha Upsilon,Phi Sigma Rho, and Sigma Lambda Upsilon forGreek Week. We had so much fun participatingin the different activities. We came in first forCANstruction, first in community service, and

third overall!

Senior TripThe Seniors dressed up and headed to

Mohegan Sun for a night of fun and games!

Senior BrunchWe held a brunch to congratulate the seniors ontheir hardwork within AEPhi and outside AEPhi.AEPhi's National President, Leslie Klaidman,

stopped by to meet everyone!
