Mission Statement
To promote the great game of lacrosse throughout all grade levels within the Allen Independent School district. From developmental to competitive lacrosse, we will provide an environment that will facilitate a positive, fun and safe lacrosse experience for every player regardless of initial skill level. Players will be taught the importance of teamwork, respect for others, sportsmanship, lacrosse skills and game knowledge. Our goal is to help each child develop to their fullest potential, as a lacrosse player and person.

Coaching Philosophy• Purpose: Develop young men of high character by instilling the correct values through the sport of
lacrosse. We, as a staff, recognize and appreciate what we were able to take away from this game and our goal is to provide the same learning and growth opportunities for our young men.
• Program Goal: Above all else, at every level we will strive to be great teammates by working hard and competing every single day. Our goal is to continue building on the foundation that has been built by those that came before us.
• Varsity Season Goal: Make the playoffs. That is the annual standard we will hold ourselves to.
• JV & Youth - DEVELOPMENTAL. Everything we do is based on maximizing program development.
• Methods: Uniform coaching style and philosophy top to bottom. Unselfish, disciplined lacrosse.
Coaching Expectations• Have our priorities as high character young men in order.
• Abide by the AELC player code of conduct (No Hazing)
• Bring maximum effort and an outstanding “ready to work” attitude everyday.
• Do not make excuses.
• HS Players – If issues/concerns arise, I expect each player to inform me directly, do not let me hear through the grapevine

• Eliminate Confusion – Stream lined communication between Players, Coaches, Board and Club members
• Always “Assume Positive Intent”

Youth Fall SeasonSpecifics (K – 8th)
• The Fall season is primarily about learning the game, player development and having fun.
• We continue to see our number grow as the sport attracts new players. We’re anticipating 100+ youth players for the Fall season.
• We will not have A and B teams during the Fall season. Teams will be established combining all skill and experience levels tocreate as many balanced teams at each age group as possible.
• During practices, players may be grouped together according to their skill and experience levels to increase individual development.
• We will continue to utilize the reversible blue and white pinnies. Returning players will keep the number they were assigned last Spring.
• Tryouts will be held in January 2018 at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade levels to establish A and B teams for the Spring 2018 season.
