64 GOLD // ALL TOGETHER // OVERVIEW

SYNOPSIS ALL TOGETHER is based on the one-of-a-kind story of Jack “Kell” Kelly and his atypical approach in bringing together an Olympic caliber eight man boat for the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

When we meet Kell he is fully immersed in a mid-life crisis. Kell is struggling to emerge from the shadow of the legacy of his last name. His father, J.B., the tough patriarch of Philadelphia was also the most accomplished oarsman in the history of rowing. His sister, Grace Kelly, was a movie star and a princess.

Motivated by desperation, Kell decides to risk his family’s name to pursue a victory of his own. His unusual vision leaves him on the outside of the rowing community looking in and with a disparate group of aging oarsmen to comprise his boat.

SYNOPSIS (continued) Nobody understands or believes in Kell’s vision. College crews have exclusively represented the U.S. at the Olympics for over forty years, and internationally, no team can even come close to matching the German’s renowned Ratzeburg crew, a talented crew so elite they haven’t lost a race in over five years.

In a sport that requires complete team discipline and synchronicity, the misfits that Kell brings together suffer from perhaps the most daunting problem of all… they absolutely hate each other.

TALENT JACK KELLY: As of February 2016 Ed Burns has signed on to play the role of “Kell” Ed brings an ideal combination of acting skills and independent film producing savvy to the project.

Ed’s producing partner Aaron and the resources of their production company Marlboro Road Gang Films will perfectly compliment the existing filmmaking team.

SUPPORTING ROLES: We are currently in the process of attaching talent to play the roles of “Mary” and Roseneberg” as well as several of the key characters in the boat.

Director Peter Odiorne is currently meeting with a short list of actors and consulting with Ed and the producing team to round out the best possible cast. This process will conclude by the end of March 2016.
