Whilst receiving a box of chocolates or a bottle of wine from grateful parents and pupils at Xmas is nice, wouldn’t you exchange them in a heartbeat for a reduced workload? Did you know the NASUWT is the only union involved in Action Short of Strike Action? This is a legal, balloted action and the instructions are in place to protect you as a member from the abuse of excessive workload and bureaucracy. There are over 25 action instructions in place and the union are focusing on key areas at present to help you tackle issues one at a time. Ticked off with Excessive marking? Members are instructed to refuse to comply with any marking & assessment policy which generates excessive workload and/or has not been agreed with the NASUWT. Fed up with unrealistic Appraisal Objectives? Performance Management objectives based on pupil results? Set objectives which are outside your direct control? Objectives imposed rather than agreed? Kirklees NASUWT are inviting members to attend the next Annual National Conference which will take place from:
Friday 14th - Monday 17th April 2017
At the Manchester Central Convention Complex
Accommodation will be provided and expenses paid accordingly.
