My mom had a roommate in college with the name Camilla. I always loved how the name sounded and looked on paper. Camilla is an ancient name that predates l Latin. The name is of Etruscan origin and came from the region we now call Tuscany Italy Camilla was a warrior Queen that could run over a field of wheat without bending a stalk or run across the water without getting her feet wet.
