out which level
your trip is, use
this timeline as
a reference for
your planning
schedule. Level
4 trips and
above require
GSOC Program
Department
approval.

• 2 parts: Leader Section, Girl
Section (younger girls may need
assistance, but we encourage all
troops to make travel girl-led).
• Leader section requires SU
Manager approval and Council
approval for Level 4 and above.

• GSOC Travel Training • Hold first Parent Meeting to collect deposit and answer questions.• Complete GSOC’s Travel Application. This requires generic information
about the trip; full details are not yet necessary.• Research lodging. GSOC troops can stay in GSNoCal properties and
reservations are made six months in advance.
October Register for event Girl Scouts of Northern California
October -March
• Plan where to go, what to see, where to eat. • Make matching sweatshirts or hats.• Collect period payments and communicate regularly with parents,• Sell nuts and cookies!
January Cheapest airfare will be 3 months before the event on a Tuesday.
March Confirm lodging, make packing list, arrange transportation to the airport,
April
Final parent meeting to:• Collect final payment adjusted based on money earned from cookie sales.• Collect permission slips & health history forms.• Confirm details with girls and parents.
April 30 Attend Bridging event!
