Alignment - what are we trying to do together?

• Improve understanding of CGIAR reforms and new programs

• Improve understanding amongst AAS staff of CSISA approach and vice versa

• Agree how AAS program and CSISA project can be mutually supportive to achieve CGIAR program goals

• Identify practical plans for aligning the work of CSISA and AAS (in the hubs/zones in particular)

• Agree mutually supportive science products that can be developed

• How can CSISA partnerships and networks contribute to AAS?– eg private sector networks; research; direct client groups; capacity

building• Where can AAS support CSISA?

– eg participatory planning?• In which CSISA communities could AAS work to scale out?• What common research agenda and approach can AAS and CSISA

pursue together?– eg challenged ponds, PAT, knowledge sharing, vegetable group

• Where are the gaps to increase value? What actions are needed to address gaps? Who does what and when? What resources are required?

• How can day-to-day working practices and communication be enhanced to improve mutual understanding and impact?
