Ejemplo : 2 3 7 T1 xy ; 4 5 T2 xy ; 2 3 T3 xy ; 4 4 2 T4 x y ; 2 3 8 T5 xy a) Los términos T 1 , T 3 y T 5 tienen la misma parte variable 2 3 xy , por lo tanto son SEMEJANTES. b) Los términos T 2 y T 4 no tienen la misma parte variable, por lo tanto NO SON SEMEJANTES. REDUCCIÓN DE TÉRMINOS SEMEJANTES: Es un proceso que consiste en transformar dos o más términos semejantes en uno solo, sumando o restando los coeficientes y escribiendo a continuación del resultado la misma PARTE VARIABLE que aparece en los términos.
