Algebray = mx + c

We are going to be exploring this equation this week to understand what it

means.

Algebray = mx + c

By the end of the week you should :• Understand what the y, m, x and c

stand for• Be able to plot a straight line graph using

this equation• Be able to read values for x and y off

the graph you plot.

AlgebraWe are going to start by taking the equation y = x+1. If we replace x with a 3 then we know what y will be.

AlgebraWe replace x with several numbers and work out what y is each time. We put these in a table.
