High School senior graduate portraits originally led Alexandra Nanny to have a strong interest in photography. These are some of Alexandra’s favorite subjects and she enjoys taking high school students to several loca-tions. Alexandra said, “I believe individual photos for a senior in high school mark a large milestone as a con-clusion in their teen lives. The photoshoot for my senior portraits was a special part of my school memories.”

[You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.

How would you describe your style? What is your passion?

What is your favorite photography accessory?

Where is your favorite place to shoot?

Why photography?

What chapter are you in?

What are your plans after school?

I am a modern photograher with a strong homegrown influence. My photos capture relationships and are cheerful.

I love photography and the freedom to use my creativity. I also love people and hearing their stories about life, love, and what has shaped them into who they are. I feel extremely blessed that my work is a combination of the two!

A conversation with Alexandra Nanny.

People. Especially for senior portraits, I often encourage my clients to bring their favorite people to the shoot. Friends and family often help calm nerves and allow me to capture my client in their true behavior. These are the people who will frame my photographs and it is special for them to be a part of the shoot.

Cotton fields, haystacks, open plains, empty streets, or anything outdoors. West Texas provides great scenery and beautiful settings for portraits. Some of my best work was from the fields and now most of my clients request to work in more natural settings. When outdoors, I am completely inspired and feel that there are no limits to where I can take my craft.

I have always enjoyed taking pictures and playing with cameras. After my older sister had her senior pictures taken, I was hooked. I was eager to learn and inspired to create. Kristin Bednarz, a fabulous photographer and great friend, was so kind to mentor me and from there I have never stopped learning.

In 2013, I will graduate from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

My goal is to become a full-time freelance family photographer in Texas. I look forward to working in a creative field full time.
