Technical excellence: delivered
Application NotesProduced Water Treatment
Project Name:Skarv Development Project
Location:Skarv and Idun Fields FPSO Project, northern North Sea
EPC Contractor/Consultants:Aker Solutions
End User:BP Norge AS
Scope of ApplicationThe scope of supply includes a produced water treatment package consisting of 3 x 12” deoiling hydrocyclone vessels in duplex SS, containing Alderley’s market leading AP20 hydrocyclone liners. This is followed by a Compact Flotation Unit (CFU), which utilises our proprietary internals to maximise the gas bubble/oil droplet contact time, by ensuring uniform distribution of gas bubbles throughout the flotation vessel. Final stage polishing of the produced water is achieved by absorption media filters, containing oil absorbent media. The design capacity of the overall package is 1,600 Sm3/day. Built to NORSOK specifications and meeting stringent working environment guidelines.
Skarv and Idun Fields
Application PerformanceThe package is designed to treat produced water with an inlet oil concentration of up to 3000 ppm(v) to achieve a guaranteed outlet of <15 ppm(v), with a target of <5 ppm(v).
