GNEIC-India supports the delivery of Wireless services/solutions globally. It is mainly responsible for providing back office services and remote technical support services for CDMA, 1xEVDO, GSM, UMTS and other Next Generation Networks. Additionally GNEIC India also supports Design, Implementation, Integration, Optimization and Maintenance of sophisticated voice and data networks around the world. Below are the key services which are provided by this global center but are not limited to:Network Integration ServicesNetwork growth/Expansion ServicesNetwork upgrade Services such as Retrofits, Software upgrades, Crafts applications etc.Network Design and OptimizationNetwork PerformanceTechnical Methods and ProceduresTechnical SupportDetailed Job Description:Roles and responsibilities:Be a part of the RF planning team for UMTS/LTE projects.Required Skills:Graduate Engineer -Electronics and/or Telecom with relevant exp of 3-5 years. Experience with Alcatel-Lucent Networks is a plus.Experience in both LTE and UMTS planning.Experience of using RF planning tool Mentum Planet is a BIG plus.Desired Skills:1) Good understanding of Uplink/Downlink power link budget. Its implementation and how the MAPL is derived.2) Understanding of Path loss/Shadow fade margin/Log fade margins/processing gain and handoff gains. 3) Understanding of cell coverage with respect to BLER and receiver sensitivity.4) Good understanding of the various propagation models/model tuning and propagation calibration using CW measurements.5) Been a part of nominal cell planning team with experience in setting up clutter and terrain data in the planning tool.6) Experience in importing traffic models and generating predictions for various traffic distribution for mixed services.7) Understanding of Antenna theory, Antenna patterns and impacts of electrical and mechanical tilts.8) Pre and Post Optimization of the design with optimal resource usage and placement of cells to cover relevant areas.
