INTRODUCTION
AIM
Destruction of dangerous and obsolete munitions
and sensitive components within 2010, and all
other surplus munitions until 2013, as well as
reduction of munitions depots near to civil
communities, aiming to improve the safety and
security in Albania and the Region.
International assistance
United States Government
Technical agreement to destroy 15,000 tons of ammo

Conclusions
Government / MOD committed to destroy all excess munitions, such as:
Danger munitions / sensitive elements within 2010
All quantity of excesses ammo by 2013
The Demilitarization Board chaired by Deputy MOD – plays major role
The assistance from other countries is required and welcomed, in areas:
Equipment and furnaces for demilitarization lines
MOBILE BURNING FURNACE FOR FUSES
Equipment and support for the EOD personnel
Safety and security is PRIORITY ONE
Albania is grateful for all the support and assistance provided by other
countries, any other support at this moment is very much appreciated
