Once completed the Wing Solar project will add the largest amount to date of clean, renewable, solar-generated energy to PowerSouth Energy Cooperative’s generation mix. The 80 MW solar facility is enough to power approximately 13,000 homes annually. “Our mission is to safely deliver reliable and affordable energy to promote development of the communities our members serve,” says Gary Smith, PowerSouth President & CEO. “Solar energy is a cost effective resource for a portion of our energy needs.
