A golfing mirage in the Garden CityAl Ain, also known as the Garden City due to its greenery, is the second-largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and is located inland near to the border of Oman.

Just over one hour from the Abu Dhabi airport and one and a half hours from the airport in Dubai, it offers easy accessibility from either and is home to one of the Emirate’s hidden treasures.

In the shadow of the Jebel Hafeet Mountain, the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club can be found. The resort includes its Olympic-standard Equestrian and Shooting centres, a horse race track, pool and gymnasium as well as the Championship Golf Course and par 3 Academy Course.

Manicured fairways and desert landscapes are both features of the two courses as well as a host of strategically-placed water and sandy hazards. With the different tee box options on the par 71 Championship Course to the shorter but still challenging layout of the Academy Course, every golfer will certainly have an enjoyable time regardless of their golfing abilities.

There is also the option of enjoying the back nine on the Championship Course and Academy Course long after the sun has set thanks to the floodlights that are available on both.

As well as the par 3 course, the Academy is also a perfect place for golfers to practice and perfect their techniques or take instruction from one of the club’s PGA golf professionals. Our grass-covered range, with its dedicated short game areas and large putting greens, gives you everything you will need for a practice session or helpful instruction. There is also a state-of-the-art indoor teaching studio with the latest technology to assist in your tuition through the V1 teaching software and SAM putting lab.

Off-course activities The golf clubhouse has two main dining options in the Palm Greens Restaurant and its Sports Bar. The restaurant, with its panoramic views of the golf course and horse race tracks and offering an à la carte menu and selection of international beverages, is the perfect place to relax after a game of golf. Sample the restaurant’s specialty in the Stonegrill where, once you have selected your main course, you can cook it to your liking on your very own hot stone at your table.

The Sports Bar has a relaxed feel and is a great place to watch live sporting events from around the world on one of the televisions or the large screen. Its menu and available drinks are perfect to accompany your stay in the bar with your friends as you cheer on your favourite team or enjoy a game of darts or pool.

The clubhouse also has a fully-stocked golf shop with the latest in clubs, apparel and accessories from the leading manufacturers. Shop staff members are on hand to offer you the best advice to cater for all your golfing needs.

Away from the golf there is also the chance to try your hand at our resort’s other activities, with the Equestrian or Shooting centres. Lessons are available at each if it’s your first time riding a horse or shooting at our inside or outside clay pigeon ranges. You can also choose from having a workout in our gymnasium or laying back and enjoying a relaxing afternoon in the sun by our swimming pool if you want.
