ELECTRE methods including on multiple criteria decision analysis methods that originated in Europe

in the 1960s. ELECTRE is the acronym of Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la réalité or in English

means Expressing Elimination and Choice Reality. According to Janko and Bernoider (2005: 11),

ELECTRE is one of multiple criteria decision making method based on the concept of outranking using

pairwise comparison of alternatives based on any appropriate criteria. ELECTRE methods used in

conditions where alternative which is less in accordance with the criteria eliminated and suitable

alternative can be generated. In other words, ELECTRE used for cases with many alternatives but few

criteria are involved (Setiyawati). An alternative is said to dominate another alternative if one or more

of the criteria are exceeded (in comparison to other alternative criteria) and together with other criteria

remaining (Kusumadewi, 2006). Measures undertaken in problem solving using ELECTRE method is

as follows:
