APC40 Developed in close cooperation between Ableton

and Akai Professional, the APC40 the perfect is Ableton Live controller. The APC40 offers intuitive and efficient

control capabilities for every electronic or traditional musician and DJ performing live on stage or in the studio.

The detailed cooperation of Akai Professional and Ableton in the development of the APC40 paid special attention to a seemless binding of the

controller to the Live software. Thanks to bi-directional communication assignment of the controllers to the software is not necessary. To immediately start a performance

only a simple USB connection between laptop and APC40 is necessary. Experienced Live users can change the assignment of each individual control element of the APC40 to adapt the

controller to the respective performance style.

The 40 triggers and LED rings of the clip matrix show the status of the Live software in real time: which clip is loaded, which one is currently played and on which clip is recorded. Multi-coloured contrasting buttons

shows the respective status of the clip. This function is completely intuitive and becomes routine in a very short time.

The APC40 features additionally 16 controllers, which are each surrounded by an LED ring. Thanks to these LED rings reading the parameter values on dark stages is easy. The visual feedback working with the APC40 mean the user concentrates

more on the music and not on the computer display. The computer becomes a minor matter and can stay unnoticed!

RPM8Thanks to brilliant resolution, true to detail offset in depth and flat frequency response the RPM8 offers a true mix reproduction for professional producers with critical hearing. RPM8’s are active bi-amp 2-way studio monitors for every music style and reproduce low frequencies absolutely clean up to impressive 39Hz. We at Akai Professional know that an unadorned and true to detail reproduction is very important. That is why the RPM8’s convince with their neutral sound, so that the studio mix sounds exactly the same as on the car radio, over a large PA or on headphones.

Many producers love mixing under almost concert audio levels. During the RPM8 development Akai Professional paid special attention to this fact. These high-performance near field monitors can deliver a sound pressure level of up to 113dB - more than enough to make walls tremble. A two-colored LED at the front indicates standby (in green) and amplifier overload (in red). The active crossover of 4th order optimizes the signal and ensures clean output.

Professional combo inputs allow connection of XLR and 6.3mm jack cables to the RPM8s. The input signal can be comfortably adjusted via volume control. The RPM8 casing is optimized for the true to detail audio reproduction. Critical mixes of the highest quality are child’s play with the RPM8 studio monitors.

USB/MIDI CONTROLLER KEYBOARDS WITH MPC PADSThe MPK series performance controllers combine a great feeling on the keyboard, MPC pads, Q-Link controller and production features of the MPC series with a great MIDI USB interface. The exclusive Akai Professional MPC pads can be played dynamically and are pressure sensitive to capture every musical nuance of a creative idea. Thanks to several pad banks up to 64 samples are directly accessible.

With the freely assignable Q-Link controller software parameters can be easily assigned. The high-quality finished controllers, buttons and faders can be defined in several banks with different settings. Centrally arranged transport keys ensure uncomplicated controls of the DAW transport functions.

An internal arpeggiator supports producers and musicians during the conversion of creative ideas. Integrated workflow is ensured since each MPK controller can be synchronized to internal clock or external clock.

MPC note repeat allows automatic fast and accurate play of a rhythmic pattern, for

example from 16th notes via the MPC pads. Those often as “heart and soul of the HipHop” designated MPC swing functions transform static drum sequences into natural sounding tracks.

The connection to computer is easy via USB cable. This connection supplies the MPK keyboard with power and ensures data exchange.

Every MPK controller features the award-winning Ableton Live Lite Akai Edition. Furthermore, the MPK series is compatible with most MIDI recording, sequencing and performance programs for every musician from the keyboard player to DJs and even VJs.

MPC5000With the MPC5000 Akai Professional presents the new standard for music production. The new MPC5000 features a 24 bit 8-track HDD recorder, a virtual-analog synthesizer with 20 voices, 3 oscillators per voice and arpeggiator, a sequencing engine with 960 PPQ resolution, pad and track mute and mix functions, as well as continuous sample tracks. Additionally the MPC5000 offers one effect engine with four effect buses and 2 effects per signal path. With the OS version 2, numerous new features, such as keygroups, sample import of the famous S/Z and MPC formats and many workflow optimizations are added, what makes the MPC5000 an indispensable tool for studio and stage. The 64-voice drum/phrase sampling engine is ex factory equipped with 64MB memory, which can be extended to 192MB. Waveforms are displayed on the crystal-clear, large (240 x 128) display. The integrated chop shop 2.0 function can now be used for stereo samples. The MPC5000 offers for the first time to repeat samples at random and selected sample zones. Additionally a turntable pre-amp exists for direct connection of record players.

Thanks to the integrated virtual-analog synthesizer external analog synth modules are no longer needed. With the help of the new 8-track HDD recorder the production of a complete song on the MPC is possible, which afterwards can be mixed with the internal sequences and input thru signals. The optional CD/DVD drive can be used to burn audio or data CD of the mix.
