Erasmus is the European Commission's educational programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions. It provides opportunities for students to study or undertake a work placement abroad as part of their degree.

Reasons to do an Internship Abroad

The European Commission is one of the main institutions of the European Union. It represents and upholds the interests of the EU as a whole. It manages the day-to-day business of implementing EU policies and spending EU funds. EC is seated in Brussels.
The National Agencyis a link between the European Commission and AIU. UE budget distributor. NA is seated in Ankara.

A potential trainee / intern
You can do your internship in any of the following organizations located in one of the 34 countries of the European Union:
a public body at local, regional or national level; a social partner or other representative of working life, including
chambers of commerce, craft/professional associations and trade unions;
a research institute; a foundation; a school/institute/educational center (at any level, from pre-school
to upper secondary education, and including vocational education and adult education);
a non-profit organization, association, NGO; a body providing career guidance, professional counselling and
information services

This year, 2015 IPO is planning to sent up to 35 students for internships.
