WEATHER WATCH
A watch means that conditions are favorable for severe storm/tornado development. Take these actions when a watch is issued:
> Secure items that could be blown away in
high winds. > Continue to monitor the weather for any
changes or additional alerts. > Be prepared to unplug your electric cord from the
electric pedestal. > If camping by your aircraft, make sure it is tied
down securely.
NOTE: You may not use “dog leash” tiedowns to
secure your aircraft.
WEATHER WARNING
A warning means that dangerous weather is threatening the area. Itis important for you to monitor weather conditions and not just rely on
the sirens to be sounded to notify you of imminent severe weather.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
A severe thunderstorm warning is issued when winds reach 58 mphor greater and hail has been measured 3/4 inch in diameter.
> Take shelter in your camper.> If you are in a tent or small camper (e.g. a pop-up),
take shelter in your vehicle.> If a shelter or vehicle is not available, find a low
spot away from trees, fences, and poles, but makesure the spot is not prone to flash flooding. If youcannot avoid trees, try to stay in the area of shorter
trees. Cover your head with your hands and liedown on the ground.
TORNADO WARNING
A tornado warning is issued when a tornado has beenspotted or indicated by radar. County emergency sirens will beactivated when a warning has been issued for the area.
> Move away from your camper and find a ditch,depression, or low area and lie down,covering your head with your hands.
> As a last choice, secure yourself in your vehicle,with the vehicle running so that the air bags canbe deployed (if your vehicle has air bags). Keepyour head lower than the vehicle windows andcover your head with your hands.

Buses circulate throughout Camp Scholler on Saturday, July 26, through Saturday,August 2, from 6:15 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday, August 3, from 8 a.m. to6 p.m. Shuttles to off-site locations are available at the West Camp Store (cornerof Stits Road and Schaick Avenue in Camp Scholler), at the North 40 near theHilton Gate, and at the Bus Park on the AirVenture grounds (north of the MainGate, near Waukau Avenue).

MESSAGE BOARD
The Camp Scholler Message Board is located on the corner near theRed Barn Camp Store. It is a convenient way to leave notes for yourfriends. Please do not tack messages on poles, buildings, or EAA

RECYCLING
Recycling containers with yellow lids are placed around the site foryour recyclable materials. No sorting necessary. Please recycle thefollowing items:
> Paper: Flattened cardboard and paper cardboard (suchas cereal boxes), magazines, office paper,newspapers, and brown paper bags
> Plastic: Bottles and containers (#1-7) > Glass: Bottles and jars
> Metal: Aluminum cans and foil, tin and steel cans
RV DUMP STATION
Dispose of all gray and black water at no charge at the 24-hour dumpstation, located on Stits Road, south of Cedar Avenue. Mobile holdingtank purging services and non-drinkable water tank refills are avail-able for a fee near the Red Barn Camp Store.

CAMP SCHOLLER VOLUNTEER CENTER
Enhance your visit at AirVenture Oshkosh by volunteering, even for a few
hours. Stop in the Volunteer Center between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning
July 14 to learn about many behind-the-scenes opportunities.
WI-FI
Complimentary Wi-Fi hotspots are located throughout the AirVenturegrounds to provide localized Internet access. (Note: Roaming serviceis not available.) In addition, a number of Wi-Fi stations are on thegrounds providing shelter and other amenities. A staffed Wi-Fi helpdesk (920-230-7831) is in the Campground Internet Café (located onthe corner of Schaick Avenue and Deischer Lane). Support hours are
8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily during AirVenture.

BIKE PARKING
Bicycles are allowed in the campgrounds, but they are not allowed onthe convention site. Bicycle corrals are located in three locations:
> Theater in the Woods (near the East Gate)> Bus Park
> North 40 Gate
CAMPGROUND REFUNDS
> Refunds are issued as you exit the campground inyour vehicle or aircraft.
> Camping credentials must be surrendered to receivea refund.
> You will be refunded unused days, less the threeday minimum.
> No refunds are issued on Camp Schollerimproved sites.
> Checkout is 12 p.m. daily. Campers leaving after
12 p.m. will be charged for that day.

PET GUIDELINES
Please follow these guidelines for everyone’s enjoyment and safety,including your pet, especially on hot days.
> Pet camping is available only at Camp Scholler at thedesignated pet area.
> No pets are allowed on the AirVenture convention site.
> Walk pets in Pet Walking Area only. > No more than two pets per campsite.
> Leads may not be longer than 10 feet. > Pets must be leashed at all times. > Clean up after your pet.
TRAFFIC REVERSAL
To accommodate heavy traffic during peak periods the following trafficreversal schedule is in effect (subject to change per Sheriff’s Department):

> Use Highway 26 exit from Highway 41 and head northon Poberezny Road (frontage road) to enter thecampgrounds between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
> To get to the west side of Oshkosh between 5 p.m. and10 p.m., use 9th Avenue.
> To get the east side of Oshkosh between 5 p.m. and10 p.m., drive south on Poberezny Road and make a left atCounty N/Fisk. Note: County N/Fisk and Highway 26 are thesame road, except the name changes east and west atPoberezny Road.

GUIDELINESGENERAL CAMPING
> You must be an EAA member to purchase a campsite. > All water/electric hookups are on a first-paid, first-
served basis. Secure your site by calling the CampScholler Registration Building at 920-230-7725.
> All camping units in 24-hour auxiliary power areamust be positioned perpendicular to fire lanes. Fire
lanes are marked as burn lines in the grass or with signage. > All camping units and vehicles must be located
behind the fire lanes. > No tents or pop-ups are allowed in the 24-hour auxiliary
power area. > Outside of the 24-hour auxiliary power area, engine-driven
generators may only be operated between the hours of6:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
> The approximate size of each campsite is 20 feet by 30 feet> Camping units must be a minimum of 10 feet apart.
> Only one camping unit and vehicle may be parked at yourcampsite. Additional vehicle and visitor parking passes fora special lot (S Lot) may be purchased for $10 per night or $60per week (no refunds) at S Lot or Camper Registration.
> Camping credentials are not valid in EAA public parking lots. > Camping credentials must be properly displayed on both yourcamping unit and transient vehicle.
> Any roped off, unoccupied site without propercredentials will be removed.
> Pets are not allowed on the convention site or generalcamping area. See Pet Guidelines section in this handbook.
> No flying objects, e.g., radio-controlled aircraft, Chinese lanterns, etc. > Do not operate any unlicensed motorized vehicles
including motorbikes, motor scooters, or motorcycles. > Only licensed drivers may operate any type of vehicle. > No roller-skating, skateboarding, or rollerblading. > Courtesy quiet time begins at 10:30 p.m. > Do not leave campsite areas without completely extinguishing campfires.
> Please leave campsites the way you found them(fill in any holes from campfires, etc.) and place allwaste in appropriate receptacles.
> Refunds are processed based on a noon checkout time each day.
AIRCRAFT CAMPING
> By default, general camping guidelines should befollowed, when applicable.
> All aircraft in the North 40 Camping Area will becharged the camping rate whether camping or parking.
> Aircraft must be eligible for judging to camp in theShowplane (Vintage and Homebuilt) camping area.

> All aircraft must be tied down. > “Dog leash” tiedowns are prohibited. > Only one tent per plane unless a second tent is needed for
immediate family members and then it must fit within the footprint of the aircraft.
> Campfires are prohibited on Wittman Regional Airport campsites. > Open-air cooking fires must comply with the
Oshkosh Fire Department Fire Prevention Guidelines below. > Generators are allowed in the North 40 camping area. > Aircraft engines may not be started at the campsite.
On departure, aircraft must be pushed out of the campsite. > Coolers must remain secured at your campsite location.
> In general, alcoholic beverage consumption is prohibited on airportproperty, except in officially designated areas or under specificpermission given by authorized EAA staff.

FIRE PREVENTION–CITY OF OSHKOSH
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Cooking stoves in transient aircraft camping areas:
> Do not leave campsite areas without completely extinguishing stove.
> No charcoal or wood campfires. > Careful use of white gas or propane camp stoves is allowed inaircraft camping, provided they are used in an area well away fromparked aircraft, and that the stove is attended at all times. It isstrongly recommended that aircraft near the stove be checkedfor any fuel fumes or leakage, and the stove be elevated aboveground level.
> Cooking stoves must be a safe distance (10 feet) away fromany aircraft.
> In the event that the conditions on Wittman Regional Airport and theEAA grounds change drastically before or during the convention, amore restrictive decision may be made regarding cooking stoves.
All fueling operations shall be done with the utmost safety in
mind, in accordance with NFPA 407, and with special regardto the following items:
> Prior to initiation of fueling operations, the fueling vehicle and theaircraft to be fueled shall be bonded.
> No open flame, cooking stoves, or smoking shall be permitted within50 feet of any fueling operations.
> All fuel spills shall be reported immediately to the OshkoshFire Department.
> All fueling hoses shall be properly stowed prior to moving thefueling vehicle.
> Fueling shall not take place during thunderstorms.
