Casino ExpressFly The Airbus A380 v2Thank you for purchasing and installing the Fly The Airbus A380 v2. Fly The Airbus A380 v2 is an add-on to Microsofts Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X. Flight Simulator 2004 or Flight Simulator X MUST be installed on you computer for Fly The Airbus A380 v2 to work.IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FSX USERSAfter installing Fly The Airbus A380 v2 into FSX, you may receive the following message from FSX:In order to use the new and powerful Flight Management Computer or FMC, you MUST click the RUN option on this message box when presented. After agreeing to run the FMC.GAU file, you will be presented with another message:Clicking YES on this screen will allow FSX to always load the FMC.GAU file and not present either of these messages again. If you click NO on this message, you will be prompted each time you run FSX if you want to load the FMC.GAU file. We strongly recommend you click the YES option on this message. Selecting the Aircraft in FS2004To use the new aircraft in FS2004, open Flight Sim and select Create A Flight from the opening screen. Select a new aircraft by clicking the Change button below Current Aircraft. If you are already in the Flight Sim in flight or at an airport, you can press the ALT key, then select the Aircraft | Select Aircraft menu. To find the new planes, set the Aircraft manufacturer to:Abacus Airbus A380Finally select the Aircraft Model you wish to fly. Selecting the Aircraft in FSXTo use the new aircraft in FSX, open Flight Sim and select Free Flight from the opening screen. Select a new aircraft by clicking the Change button below Current Aircraft. If you are already in the Flight Sim in flight or at an airport, you can press the ALT key, then select the Aircraft | Select Aircraft menu. To find the new planes, set the Aircraft manufacturer to:Abacus Airbus A380Finally select the Aircraft Model you wish to fly. In order to see all of the variation, you will need to click the Show All Liveries option at the bottom of the aircraft selection window.Installing the SceneryThe scenery is normally installed at the end of the installation. If you do not recall setting up the scenery, you will need to run the Scenery Setup located in the Start | Programs | Abacus Software | Fly The Airbus A380 v2 menu. This program will automatically install the scenery into Flight Sim. Simply follow the instructions on screen to add the scenery. Note: that FS2004 user who have the original Fly The Airbus A380 from Abacus still installed in FS2004 will NOT need to run the Scenery Setup again nor manually install the scenery.Note: FSX users will need to have Crash Detection turned OFF to properly access the Airbus A380 scenery at Blagnac airport.If the Scenery Setup fails or you are unable to install the scenery, you can add the scenery to the Flight Sim manually by opening Flight Sim and using the Scenery Library. Here's a step-by-step to follow if you have to add the scenery manually: NOTE: Only use these instructions if you are SURE the scenery is NOT in Flight Sim.1.Make sure you that you have the Airbus A380 aircraft by opening FS and changing the aircraft on the Create A Flight screen. Set the Aircraft Manufacturer to Abacus Airbus A380. If you DO have the aircraft, proceed to step 2. (If you do NOT have the aircraft, then you have not installed Airbus A380 correctly. Uninstall using the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and re-install the Airbus A380 to the main Flight Sim folder.)2.From the opening screen of the Flight Sim, click Settings option on the left. (If Flight Sim automatically puts you into the sim, press Escape (ESC) and choose End Flight, then enter the Settings)3.Click the Scenery Library button.4.Click the Add button. NOTE: If you see Airbus A380 listed, the scenery IS installed and you should cancel back to FS.5.In the Select Scenery Directory window, double-click the SCENERY folder. You may need to scroll to the right to see it.6.Single-click the AB_Airbus folder.7.Be sure Use The Scenery Directly is checked and click OK. Youll return to the Scenery Library window.8.Click Ok.In order for FS2004 to recognize the new scenery, you must Close Flight Sim and open it again. FS2004 will build a new database for the scenery while restarting.Flight Management Computer (FMC)Included on the 2D panel of the Airbus A380 is a new custom Flight Management Computer gauge. This gauge allows you to load or create flight plans to be flown automatically. For detailed information on how to use the FMC, consult the FMC Users Guide found in the Start | Programs | Abacus | Abacus Airbus A380 menu.Virtual Cabin Views in FSXThe Airbus A380 is equipped with a complete virtual cabin. If desired you can set up your flight from the cockpit using the FMC and then hop in the back and have a seat in first class and enjoy the ride at least until it's time to land!To access the virtual cabin views in FSX from the cockpit, press the letter A on your keyboard to cycle through the different cockpit views including the left seat, right seat, overhead panel, radios and also the Virtual Cabin views. This is not difficult, but the following instructions need to be followed closely. Follow the instructions below and youll be all set. Note that FS2004 user who have the original Fly The Airbus A380 from Abacus still installed in FS2004 will NOT need to run the Scenery Setup again nor manually install the scenery.NOTE: Only use these instructions if you are SURE the mew scenery is NOT already in Flight Sim.NOTE: Follow these steps EXACTLY as shown.1. With the Fly The Airbus A380 v2 installed, open Flight Simulator.2. From the opening screen, click Settings on the left.3. Click the Scenery Library button.NOTE: If you see the AB_Airbus listed, the scenery IS installed and you should cancel back to FS.4. Click the Add or Add Area button. 5. Double-click the Scenery folder. You may need to scroll to the right to see it.6. Double-click the AB_Airbus folder. You may need to scroll to the right to see it.7. Click OK.8. Click OK.FS2004 users MUST close and restart the simulator for the new scenery to take affect. When the Flight Sim is restarting, you will get a message telling you that FS is rebuilding the Scenery Database. FSX users will see this messages immediately after clicking OK.
