Anyone involved in the recruitment or training of air traffic controllers knows that this unique group possess a rather specific personality type and set of aptitudes. This results in a relatively small pool of candidates from which ANSPs can select future trainees. The need to select appropriate candidates is a recognized business issue, with only about 2-3% of the general population having the competencies required to become an air traffic controller.

Assessment Centre

The assessment centre consists of:

Reference Checking

This is the final phase of checking applicants against medical and security requirements, and verifying key data provided. Information provided in the interview is also checked against references.
