This design encapsulates the concept of modern ornament as a way to create visual excitement in the urban fabric, and portray social and cultural values. In order to express the modernity and complexity of Wyndham, a generative approach was used, which will also simultaneously create a new perception of ornament that is complex, influential, and at the forefront of contemporary design. Concentrating on movement and dynamism as a key outcome of generative design, an intricate and generative structure has been created. This structure was developed through the use of pushing a specific technique to its limits, as opposed to working towards a specific form. As such the outcome is not only generative, it is also a highly complex ornamental piece. The large scale of the structure is ideal for a site that is being moved past at a fast speed, and the nature of the structure allows for it to be an experiential work,` as opposed to a work that is merely viewed in a static manner. The design uses a contemporary generative approach and the result is a complex structure that reflects Wyndham’s values of a dynamic and exciting society.
