INSTALLATION

1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for theradio, then write down the radio station presets.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

3. Remove the fuel fill door release handle. Removethe left front door sill trim (three clips and threeretaining tabs).
4. Remove the left rear door sill trim (three clips andfour retaining tabs).
5. Pull away the weatherstrip from the B-pillar lowertrim panel. Remove the left seat belt lower anchorbolt cover and remove the lower anchor bolt.Remove the left B-pillar lower trim panel bypulling it out toward you as shown.
• Seat belt anchor bolt torque: 30 to 35 N·m(22 to 25 lbs)

9. Remove the rear seat belt anchor bolt and eightseat anchor bolts.
• Seat belt anchor bolt torque: 30 to 35 N·m(22 to 25 lbs)
8. Remove the rear seat bracket covers:
• Remove the left and right rear seat bracketcovers (two clips for each cover).
• Remove the center seat bracket cover (twoclips and nine retaining tabs).
7. Lift up the rear seats, and remove the rear under-seat trim panel:
• Remove the right rear under-seat trim panel(four clips).
• Remove the left rear under-seat trim panel(seven clips).

11. Remove the rear trim panel cover (eight clips andtwo retaining tabs).
14. Remove the left rear lower anchor bolt cover, andremove the left rear seat belt lower anchor bolt:

12. Remove the left rear seat belt upper anchor boltcover (four retaining tabs), and remove the leftrear seat belt upper anchor bolt:
• Seat belt anchor bolt torque: 30 to 35 N·m(22 to 25 lbs)
13. Remove the left rear pillar upper trim:
• With side airbag; pull the clip, and remove theleft rear pillar trim by releasing the one clip.
• Without side airbag; remove the left rear pillartrim by releasing the two clips.
15. Remove the upper clip, then pull the left rear pillarlower trim out toward you to release two clips.
16. Remove the left rear taillight (two bolts, two clipsand vehicle connector). Remove the right taillightthe same way.

17. Remove the rear bumper:
• Remove the license plate (two bolts).
• Remove two bolts, eight self-tapping screwsand six clips from the rear bumper.
• Pull the rear bumper toward you. Unplug thetwo vehicle connectors, and remove the rearbumper.
• Set the rear bumper on the blanket.
18. Remove the rear roof trim:
• Remove the roof trim nut covers (two retainingtabs for each cover).
• Remove the two nuts.
• Using a KTC trim tool, carefully pry up thefront of the trim to release the three front clips.Start with the left clip and work towards theright clip.
• Gently lift the front of the trim to release thefour rear clips.
• Remove the antenna grommet from the roof,unplug the vehicle connector, and remove therear roof trim.

19. Remove and discard the grommets from the roofpanel, and install the six oval grommets and oneround grommet into the roof panel.
20. On the rear roof trim backside, remove anddiscard the clips from the rear roof trim, andinstall the seven clips to the rear roof trim.

22. Remove the left C-pillar outer trim light (onescrew) and unplug the connector.
21. Remove the left bed rail trim:
• Remove the screw cover (four retaining tabs).
• Remove the self-tapping screw.
• Pull the left bed rail trim back to release thesix clips, and remove the left bed rail trim.

23. Remove the left C-pillar outer trim (slide rearward,and unplug the vehicle connector). Remove theclips from the body, and reinstall the clips to theleft C-pillar outer trim.

29. Remove the tailgate trim:
• Remove the four screws and release the oneend clip on each side.
• Sharply push the tailgate trim to the right torelease the 16 clips from the trim.
• Remove the 16 clips from the tailgate, andreinstall the 16 clips to the tailgate trim in thedirection shown.

32. Center punch the tailgate at the marks on thetemplate. Remove the template.
31. Get the template. Using scissors, cut out themarked area from the template. Align the edge ofthe template with the edge of the tailgate asshown, and attach it to the tailgate with tape.

34. Install one blind nut into each 8 mm hole.

35. Remove the four screws from the rear camera.Route the rear camera harness through the rearcamera subbracket, and install the rear camerasubbracket to the rear camera with the fourscrews.
36. Attach a piece of wire to the terminals on the rearcamera harness, and tape the wire to theterminals.

33. Drill three 8 mm holes and one 10 mm hole in thetailgate.
• Wrap tape around a 3 mm drill bit, an 8 mmdrill bit and a 10 mm drill bit 10 mm from theend or use a drill stop.
• While wearing eye protection, drill a 3 mmhole, then an 8 mm hole in all four locations.Drill a 10 mm hole only in the upper centerhole.
• Remove any burrs, and apply touch-up paint toall of the holes.

37. Route the rear camera harness through the 10 mmhole in the tailgate, and seat the grommet into the10 mm hole.

39. Align the two locating tabs on the rear camerasubbracket with the slots in the rear camerabracket, and install two 4 x 6 mm washer-screws.
NOTE: Make sure the flat surface of the rearcamera subbracket is facing up; otherwise, thecamera view will be upside down.
38. Install the rear camera bracket to the three blindnuts with three 4 x 12 mm washer-screws.

40. Install clear adhesive tape to the tailgate:
• Open the tailgate.
• Get the pieces of clear adhesive tape. Usingscissors, cut 30 mm from the end of eachpiece.
• Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, cleanthe tailgate where the adhesive tape willattach.

43. Secure the rear camera harness to the harnessclamp bracket with two small wire ties. Attach thewire tie, over the black tape attached to theharness, where the vinyl cover begins.

46. Pull the rear camera harness out from the insideof the tailgate, and secure the rear cameraharness to the harness clamp bracket A with onesmall wire tie. Attach the wire tie over the blacktape attached to the harness.

44. Torque the T50 torx bolt to 29 to 32 N·m (21 to23 lbs).
45. Close the tailgate. Remove the lower outboardhinge bolt, and attach harness clamp bracket A tothe tailgate hinge with the torx bolt you justremoved. Do not tighten the torx bolt at this time.
47. Torque the T50 torx bolt to 29 to 32 N·m (21 to23 lbs).
48. Open the tailgate. Using isopropyl alcohol on ashop towel, clean the tailgate where the cushiontapes will attach. Using scissors, cut one cushiontape in half. Secure the rear camera harness tothe tailgate with two half cushion tapes and twofull cushion tapes at the locations shown.

52. Route the rear camera harness out through thebed panel hole, and secure the rear cameraharness to the vehicle harness with one wire tiejust inside the panel hole.

55. Insert the rear camera harness through thegrommet, and route the rear camera harnessthrough the vehicle grommet opening. Seat thegrommet into the grommet hole.
56. Using electrical tape, secure the grommet to therear camera harness. Pay attention to the angle ofthe grommet.
57. Inside the passenger’s compartments turn downthe rear panel insulator. Pull the rear cameraharness out from the hole in the C-pillar, andremove the tape and wire from the rear cameraharness.

60. Route the rear camera subharness forward alongthe vehicle harness, and secure the subharnessto the vehicle harness with five wire ties.
58. Remove the lock from the 6-pin connector. Plugthe rear camera harness terminals into the 6-pinconnector as shown. Reinstall the lock.
59. Get the rear camera subharness. Plug the rearcamera subharness 6-pin connector into the rearcamera harness 6-pin connector, and secure theconnected 6-pin connectors to the vehicleconnectors with two wire ties.

64. Slide the driver’s seat back and forth to check thatthe rear camera subharness is not pulled too tightor is too loose.

61. Continue routing the rear camera subharnessforward along the vehicle harness, and securethe subharness to the vehicle harness with foursmall wire ties.

65. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery. Turnthe key to the ON position, and enter the Navicode.
66. Move the shift knob to the “R” position.
67. Adjust the angle of the rear camera while watchingthe navigation monitor. When you are satisfied withthe camera angle, install the rear camera trim tothe rear camera bracket with two 4 x 10 mmsocket bolts.
68. Turn the key to the off position.
69. Measure and mark the rear bumper at the locationshown.

72. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properlyand all connectors are plugged in.
73. Enter the customer’s radio anti-theft code, andreset the radio station presets.
74. Set the clock.
75. Check the operation of the rear camera accordingto the owner’s manual provided.
76. Put the rear camera Owner’s Manual in the glovebox with the vehicle owner’s manual.
77. Reinstall all removed parts.
70. Using a utility knife, cut and remove the measuredpiece from the rear bumper. Remove any burrsfrom the cut area with a file.
71. Reinstall the rear bumper.
