AIESEC is a global, non-political,

independent, not-for-profit organization run

by students and recent graduates of

institutions of higher education. Its members

are interested in world issues, leadership,

and management

What is Global Youth

Ambassador Program?

Global Youth Ambassador Program is an opportunity for

you to develop your leadership potential through

international social volunteering program.

You will work in a social project with other AIESECers

from all over the world in AIESEC Committees abroad.

Global Youth Ambassador Program

The countries destinations that

you will work in are generally

developing countries.

Because those countries are

still economically dependant

and they are most likely to

have more issues.

Global Youth Ambassador

Program aims to contribute

positive impact to society in

order to improve the conditions

caused by those issues.

What expenses do you

need to cover? • AIESEC Administration Fee

– Rp 2.500.000 • 1st administration fee Rp 1.500.000

• 2nd administration fee Rp 1.000.000

• Other expenses (depends on the destination)

– Airfares and travel insurance

– Living cost abroad

1st administration fee is PAID after you are accepted. Check the important dates timeline at the end of the booklet

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I choose certain country so I can travel around?

The aim of joining the Global Youth Ambassador Program is to develop one’s leadership potential and generate positive impact to individuals and the society around him/her. Therefore country destinations would not be the main focus as experience is instead. You can travel around only after the internship is finished.

• Can I ask for sponsorship to cover the expenses?

AIESEC does not provide any sponsorship and is not responsible for departure cancellation due to sponsorship matters. Once you have committed to go for Global Youth Ambassador Program you can not cancel the plan or else you will have to pay for break match fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

• I want to go with my best friend/girlfriend/boyfriend/sibling/cousin to the same project. Is that possible?

There are many projects available in most AIESEC countries, and a project may require as little as one intern and as many as twenty interns simultaneously. While there might be room for more than one intern in one project, it is still a large competition among applicants to get internships. So we encourage applicants to be as open-­­minded as possible in choosing their preferred internships.

• Can I have my sign contract fee and / or matched fee refunded?

Those fees are not refundable. If you have paid for the sign contract fee and you cancel your plan to go exchange, the sign contract fee will not be refunded but you are still be able to go exchange within 12 months. If you’re not departing within 12 months your exchange contract will be terminated.
