Uganda has a population of about 38 million people. Uganda has got a bit of

everything that Africa has to offer. Uganda is also home to the tallest mountain

range in Africa; the glacier- capped Rwenzori mountain not to mention the

mighty Nile River, the world’s longest river. Not forgetting Lake Victoria, the

continent’s largest lake. Uganda has a highest concentration of primates and

birds in the world. These all roam the numerous dense forests like mabira.

Animal lovers and bird watchers will surely love this. Despite the high

population there’s no crowding in even the most popular national parks and the

capital Kampala. The country is safe and friendlier than most in Africa.

Livingstone called it -Pearl of Africa-. Many have come to agree with him.

Religion

Uganda is predominantly Christian. About 87% of the people are either catholic, protestant or Baptist. The

rest of the population is made up of other denominations like Islam. There are no religious squabbles and

everyone lives together harmoniously. This is one of the reasons that Uganda is a great place to live in.
