DEAR GREAT LEADERS OF AIESEC IN SOUTH AFRICA

THE IDEA OF THE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT (NLDS) IS TO

CREATE A SPACE TO EXPRESS YOUTH OPINIONS ON KEY SUBJECTS THAT THE

WORLD FACES TODAY AND HOW YOUNG PEOPLE CAN HAVE AN INFLUENCE ON

THEM BY DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP THROUGH AIESEC.

WE BELIEVE THERE IS AN IMPORTANT ASPECT TO THIS MATTER THAT IS OFTEN

OVERLOOKED, SOMETHING WE WORK TOWARDS EVERYDAY: LEADERSHIP. BY

CREATING RESPONSIBLE AND ENTREPRENEURIAL YOUNG LEADERS WE WILL

SEE A GROWING NUMBER OF JOB-CREATORS WHO BUILD SUSTAINABLE

BUSINESSES AND LEAD BASED ON VALUES NOT GREED.

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT IS ORGANIZED TO

MAXIMIZE THE LEARNING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OF OUR

MEMBERS ALLOWING THEM TO ACQUIRE VALUABLE PERSONAL

AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS. CONFERENCES PROVIDE A FORUM

FOR OUR MEMBERS TO ENGAGE EACH OTHER AND LEADERS IN

THE CORPORATE COMMUNITY, GOVERNMENT AND CIVIL

SOCIETY IN SPECIFIC, RELEVANT ISSUES TO INCREASE THEIR

AWARENESS DEEPEN THEIR LEARNING AND PROVIDE THEM

WITH A NETWORK OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMON

INTERESTS.

OUR MAIN TOPICS FOR THIS YEAR WILL BE CENTERED ON LEADERSHIP SKILLS

DEVELOPMENT ON THE JOB MARKET TODAY, WHAT DOES BEING PROFESSIONAL

REALLY MEANS TO YOUNG PEOPLE.
