Statistics and Opportunities• 20 % of the Egyptian population is between 15 and 24 years• 50 % younger than 25 years and 90 % of the unemployed
reaching to 11% of the population are younger than 30 years old– The situation is particularly tough for young women
• 15 % of Egyptians aged between 10 and 15 are illiterate• In 2002, Egypt modernized its intellectual property law,
raising it to strong international business standards that will allow private benefit from innovation for the public; a necessity to encourage entrepreneurial activities and innovative thinking within the young generation and link them to a strong international network-IP culture needs to be fostered to connect local and international business

disciplines in schools and universities across Egypt• International and local collaboration that will harness
the passion and energy of the young people of prestigious organizations such as AIESEC and the youth of the developing countries using world-class know-how

Project Outline• 3-5 International Students (trainers) will support and develop
HOPE platforms at each school/university• International student teams will consist of diverse backgrounds,
training and gender, each student from different strengths, such as IT, business, and soft skills, to develop full innovation in entrepreneurship projects
• Projects will consist of a minimum of 2 cycles lasting for 1 months each: one month for international and Egyptian students to develop projects in Cairo, and one month to take projects outside of Cairo
• HOPE platforms will remain in universities and schools for continued engagement and networking
• No religion nor politics will be discussed within the framework of the project

Project OutlineProgram strusture• Structured courses
– AIESEC members shadowed by Egyptian students will be teaching main modules:
– Brainstorming, pitching, conflict management, team working, innovative thinking, thinking skills, future applications of IT
• Workshops – Students will form groups and teams as a main activity of the program– Students will first brainstorm about challenges within their communities
and in their surrounding environment– Egyptian students will then act as problem solvers and innovative solution
providers work within their teams to present their idea and their pitches in convincing scenarios
• Idea Competition– A series of local institution competition will be arranged then a final
national competition will be launched

Project DeliverablesQuantitative Output• The project is based within a reality framework and built around applied training by
objective– The students are encouraged to act as innovative ploblem solvers and creative solution providers to issues and
challenges within their communities and environment– The students will be mentored to think objectively about challenges surrounding them and will be empowered to
take action by coming up with creative ideas– The students should come up with 4 minute pitches about their ideas addressing related issues in: business, arts,
culture, media, IT, social, environment.....– The expected number of innovative idea produced by each platform will depend on the number of students
attending
Qualitative Output• The output is a major consideration from the onset of the project and its impact goes
beyound creative ideas and innovative solutions it extends to the projected increase in:• Number of students stiving to excellence in education and looking to compete for international scholarships.• Number of students participating in exchange programs• Number of students beleiving in the power of innovation and checking sites such as TED• Proficiency in English language due to the long term interaction with foreigners• Increaed number of students engaged in civic societies and extra curricular activities
Certificate of Attendance• A certificate will be issued for the students passing the program as a way to encourage attendance and encourage extracurricular activities and youth social
engagement
Project Timeline
Phase 1: CAIRO
Week 1: International Students arrive, receive training Week 2:
Structured Training Courses--programs given in entrepreneurship, self-empowerment, business, etc.
Week 3-5: Unstructured Training--Students actively network, communicate, and create 1 minute video pitch
Week 6: Structured Training Courses--programs given in entrepreneurship, self-empowerment, business, etc.
End of cycle: Regional Excursions

Project Partners PDF.People Development Foundation PDF is a foundation created by both Training
Methodology Agency TMA to function as the company’s arm for promoting CSR, and a group of young Egyptian professionals passionate about building capacity and development in our communities.
PDF was founded in 2010 under the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity. PDF puts special emphasis on youth, unemployment and entrepreneurship
What is PDF?
PDF is the owner of the initiative and its main national coordinator for all partners.
PDF, in partnership with TMA, would offer its expertise, facilities and experience to conduct workshops about entrepreneurial activities, processes and to promote innovation. Furthermore, PDF would coordinate the project.
What is PDF’s role in HOPE?

AIESEC is the world‘s biggest student driven organization, present in 110 countries with 48.000 members and would support the goal of the project to combine global recognition and national outreach through socially driven young volunteers
Who is AIESEC?
The HOPE Project mirrors AIESEC’s values especially “Activating Leadership,” “Striving for Excellence” and “working Sustainably“ AIESEC would:- As the project is a “project based on exchange“, provide international interns to act as trainers and agents of change.- recruit, young trainers and facilitators who would be trained by PDF and its partners acting as shadow teachers for the international interns.
What is AIESEC’s role in HOPE?

EJB provides a platform for dynamic business people to affect a positive business environment through development and social responsibility. The KEY Program empowers undergraduates with the knowledge and skills to transform them from job seekers to a demanded market work force.
Who is EJB/KEY?
• The HOPE Project mirrors EJB/KEY’s values in enhancing the skills of young graduates to meet the needs of the modern job market. • EJF/KEY would recruit students, pupils, young trainers and facilitators
who would be trained by PDF. • The KEY Program would provide its university facilities for HOPE
trainings and seminars.
What is EFB/KEY’s role in HOPE?
Supreme Council of Universities SCU
The Supreme Council of Universities is an authorized autonomous public body with the authority, which is responsible for the management of universities, The members are responsible for planning, coordination and supervision of higher education.
Who is SCU?
The HOPE Project would be enhanced and complimented by SCU in:- Supporting and promoting the project within the universities of Egypt- Choosing universities and locations within for the implementation of the project- Choosing some of the Egyptian shadow trainers
- Managing the logistics of management support within the chosen locations
What is SCU’s role in HOPE?
Project Partners INJAZ
INJAZ is an education organization which works to bridge the gap between the education system and the private sector. It helps develops a new generation of empowered youth to become entrepreneurs or the employees of choice in corporations.
Who is INJAZ?
The HOPE Project would be enhanced and complimented by INJAZ as an academic partner.INJAZ will supply the program with modules related to innovation and entrepreneurship for both students in universities and schools in and out of Cairo.
The Module supplied will be workshop based and will take one day in each location
What is INJAZ’s role in HOPE?

The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) aims to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in ICT for the benefit of national economy. The center has been launched at Smart Village on Monday 27th of September 2010
Who is TIEC?
Hosting of the launch and graduation ceremonies in the smart villageManagement of the final competitionManage the logistics of each institution judging of ideasCreate the portals and registration platforms for the programManage a module about the future and innovation of IT and its integration in all aspects of life

The HOPE Project would be enhanced and complimented by AdvancED as an academic partner. AdvancED will supply the program with relationships with schools in and out of Cairo. Students of these schools will participate in the project as part of their activities and under the auspices of their school management.

GEP the Global Entrepreneurship Program is a US governmental effort to aid the growth of developing countries through creating and supporting a complete entrepreneurial ecosystem
Who is GEP?
The HOPE Project would align with GEP‘s goal of supporting the partnership of public and private institutions: connecting universities, Middle East entrepreneurs and experienced international businesspeople and supporting the growth of new and innovative enterprises.GEP would offer their expertise, experience and network to conduct workshops about entrepreneurial activities, processes and innovation promotion
What is GEP’s role in HOPE?
Budget• AESEC international interns will work for free and they will cover their own
transportation to Egypt• Universities and schools will not charge PDF for the use of their facilities• Students will not pay for their enrolement and registration• The costs incurred will cover:
• Transportation within Egypt• Of Trainers• Of Judges
• There are on average 5 judges per university centre• Big tourism buses will be used to move trainees to and from major events
• Average 10 days throughout (three buses will be needed)
• Accomodation of alll trainers in and out of Cairo• Average number of trainees expected is 120• Duration is two months
• Printing• certificates• Material for workshops• Banners, roll ups and other media products
• Costs of tool kits from Injaz• There are 36 kits needed throughout the program
• Some administration fees and logistical costs• Ceremonies cost

• Με την υποτροφία αυτή καλύπτονται– Fee για τη συμμετοχή στο πρόγραμμα της AIESEC (120€)– Fee εγγραφής μέλους στην AIESEC Athens (10€)– Αεροπορικά εισιτήρια (200-250€ περίπου)– Πρώτα έξοδα διαβίωσης στην Αίγυπτο

Job Description of Participants1. The intern will be provided with trainings from GEP & TEDxCairo. 2. The intern will be responsible for recruiting participants for the project in
universities and schools.3. The intern will be delivering sessions for the participants on Entrepreneurship.4. The intern will be responsible of developing workshops content to be delivered
to the Participants.5. The intern will be responsible for following up on the students performance and
assessing them.6. Looking for beneficial partnerships with Universities and schools.7. The intern will go on field trips to other cities to deliver the trainings there.8. Participate in AIESEC events.9. After the project, organize an open event in AUEB based on the topic of Hope
