Neogen Chemicals Q3 net up by 88expansion plans set to boost income

MUMBAI,Neogen Chemicals Ltd. has posted improved

performance for the quarter ended 31.12.19. On astandalone basis, the company has posted total in-come of Rs. 82.40 cr. with a net profit of Rs. 8.22 cr.verses Rs. 63.49 cr. / Rs. 4.36 cr. for the correspondingquarter in FY 19. For the nine months of FY 2020, ithas earned a net profit of Rs. 21.43 cr. on a turnoverof Rs. 224.08 cr. against a net profit of Rs. 12.29 cr. ona turnover of Rs. 159.88 cr. for the first three quartersof FY 2019. On a consolidated basis, the company hasreported a net profit of Rs. 21.35 cr. on a turnover ofRs. 223.92 cr. for nine months ended 31.12.19. On aconsolidated basis for FY 2019, it earned a net profitof Rs. 20.95 cr. on a turnover of Rs. 239.57 cr. Thus thetrend of almost achieving previous full year’s bottomline in the first nine months continued.

Commenting on the Q3FY20 performance,Mr.Haridas Kanani, Chairman & Managing Director,at Neogen Chemicals said: “I am glad to state thatwe have sustained ou growth momentum during thequarter under review, on the back of expected gainsin both Organic as well as Inorganic Chemicals seg-ment. Overall, we recorded 30% revenue growth and88% expansion in Profit after Tax, driven by betterdemand scenario as well as higher production at ourfacilities.

Further, I am happy to underline that we havecommenced commercial production of InorganicChemicals at our new commissioned Greenfield fa-cility at Dahej SEZ. Neogen Chemicals is best placedto capture the ongoing growth opportunitiespresent in the end-user industries given its exper-tise as well as a wide portfolio of offerings.

Sensex up 400 points as new casesof coronavirus drop

points during the early trade over reports of Chineseworkers returning to factories and a drop in newCoronavirus cases. Investors would also be cautiousahead of the macroeconomic data-points due to bereleased during the week including CPI/WPI inflationand IIP data.
