PICTURES: GETTY, WENN. style news P aris Haute Couture Fashion Week was brought to a flourishing, frivolous end last week, in a blooming excuse for excess, thanks to John Galliano’s take on flower power which saw the Brit-born designer send his models down the runway in a stunning array of tulles, appliqué and chiffons. The likes of Lily Cole, Jared Leto, Anna Wintour – and her current muse de jour, Blake Lively – packed out the Musee de Rodin garden, which had been transformed into a giant greenhouse for the evergreen event. It seems like this Autumn/Winter, it won’t just be our cheeks that are rosy, as Galliano’s girls donned petal- shaped frocks – from cocktail dressed to frothy ballgown concoctions – peony print skirts and ballerina tutu’s that were less SJP-in-the-opening- credits-of-SATC and more dreamy-romance-in- the-garden-of-Eden. All of which led Jessica Alba to pompously declare, “I want to be every flower in Galliano’s garden.” And if you’re looking for next season’s make-up trends, Dior dished them up in spades, with model’s eyes and lips glittering with jewel tones, which sparkled through their cellophane headpieces. And as the show unfurled to a finish, even stoney-faced Vogue Editrix Anna could be seen mentally selecting her Wintour’s wardrobe. A big green thumbs up! GARDEN OF DELIGHTS Petals, peonies and tulips inspired the magical floral- themed collection. FLOWER GIRLS Lily Cole, Jess Alba and Blake Lively all gushed over the show, with the GG star in pride of place beside Anna Wintour.

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week was brought to a flourishing, frivolous end last week, in a blooming excuse for excess, thanks to John Galliano’s take on

flower power which saw the Brit-born designer send his models down the runway in a stunning array of tulles, appliqué and chiffons.

The likes of Lily Cole, Jared Leto, Anna Wintour – and her current muse de jour, Blake Lively – packed out the Musee de Rodin garden, which had been transformed into a giant greenhouse for the evergreen event.

It seems like this Autumn/Winter, it won’t just be our cheeks that are rosy, as Galliano’s girls donned petal-shaped frocks – from cocktail dressed to frothy ballgown concoctions – peony print skirts and ballerina

tutu’s that were less SJP-in-the-opening-credits-of-SATC and more dreamy-romance-in-the-garden-of-Eden. All of which led Jessica Alba to pompously declare, “I want to be every flower in Galliano’s garden.”

And if you’re looking for next season’s make-up trends, Dior dished them up in spades, with model’s eyes and lips glittering with jewel tones, which sparkled through their cellophane headpieces.

And as the show unfurled to a finish, even stoney-faced Vogue Editrix Anna could be seen mentally selecting her Wintour’s wardrobe. A big green thumbs up!
