SUMMARYDuring the FY 16 SAP workshop, City
Council expressed a desire to study additional parking for city facilitiesThe existing house at 213 Henderson would
be demolished to accommodate this planOverland Partners created a design that
would add eleven (11) additional parking spaces taking the total to 52 and 4 ADA spaces. This does not include FD and PW spaces
SUMMARY CONT’DA landscape plan has also been designedNew landscaping plan would better shield
the neighborhood from the parking lot and facilitiesPricing obtained for demolition, electrical,
irrigation, landscaping, concrete work, asphalt, striping and new fencingDiscussion with adjacent neighbor, Mr.
Helmke – resolution reached
SUMMARY CONT’DSeveral trees to be removed including 2 legustrom, 1 crepe myrtle and 1 live-oak (non–heritage)
Excavation / paving done in-house by Public Works
All other work contracted out
SUMMARY CONT’DDrainage study completed by Freeseand Nichols resulting no impact
Demolition currently set for last week of October 2015
Project to take approx. 6 to 8 weeks
FISCAL IMPACTProposed work is estimated at $ 75,224 including a 10% contingency of $6,838There will be a significant savings with Public Works completing site and paving work in-houseFunding provided in FY 16 budget with funding moved from CIED account per Council direction
