Powerful, Very Fuel-Efficient Deutz EnginesMeet the latest generation of economical, powerful andelectronically controlled Deutz engines. They featurehigh torque and excellent constant power ranges, withvery low fuel consumption.

Smooth-Shifting, Reliable TransmissionsReliable, easy-shift, 3-speed Powershift transmissionwith electrohydraulic comfort clutch and Powershuttle(left-hand reverser) provide excellent speed match forall jobs. With the optional Profiline package, you alsoget Automatic Powershift (APS), the PowerComSoperating control lever and Comfortip FunctionManagement (CFM) features in the console armlocated to the right of the operator.

Four PTO Speeds are StandardThe Agrotron K Series come standard with four PTOspeeds — 540, 540E, 1000, 1000E — so you cansave fuel on lighter, less demanding jobs, yet still havethe option of running at full PTO horsepower for moredemanding tasks.

The front and rear windshields can be opened wide. The cab alsofeatures a tilting transparent glass roof hatch that is ideal for workingwith front loaders.

The large and spacious cab of the Agrotron K is easy to enter andexit via its anti-slip steps and full-length handrails.

Compact Tractor. Spacious Cab.The cab of the Agrotron K Series is one ofthe largest in its class. Not only does itprovide panoramic views, it’s also roomyand comfortable.

Entering and exiting these tractors iseasy due to the full-length handrails thatflank generously sized steps. The cab andentrance areas illuminate automaticallywhen the doors are opened, allowing youto enter and exit safely in the dark.

The Agrotron K Series tractors areamong the quietest in their class. The cabis mounted so that it’s isolated from thetractor chassis. It’s heavily insulated so itstays quiet and cool, no matter what theconditions. There is also an additionalinsulating wall between the engine andcompartment to further ensure quietoperation and comfort.

A powerful 4-stage heating and airconditioning system with 17 air nozzlesproduces up to 26 cubic feet per hour(740 m3/hr.). An overhanging roof, tintedwindows, and blinds on the front andrear windshields protect you from thesun’s intense rays. The cab also featuresa large beverage compartment inside thecab, which is cooled by the airconditioning system.

Plenty of StorageThere are three large compartments onthe driver’s side for storing everythingfrom documents to food and drink.

The controls for the heating and air conditioning system are installed in the roof. Airconditioning comes standard in the Profiline package. An electronically controlled,automatic air conditioner is also available for the Profiline version.

InfocenterThe Infocenter allows you to continuouslymonitor your tractor’s operating status.This helps avoid undetected maintenanceproblems, low fluid levels and non-performing functions. It also providesinformation on engine speed andtemperature, PTO and travel speeds, fuellevels, and warning and error messages.

Color-Coded Levers and SwitchesAll levers and switches are shaped, color-coded and in easily accessible positions.They are combined according to frequencyof use in functional groups on an operatingpanel at the driver’s right hand. Thisworkplace is optimally designed forreliable and intuitive operation thatenhances your productivity.

Operating sequences are displayed in theInfocenter. As one function is beingexecuted, the Infocenter indicates thenext programmed function so you alwaysknow which function to activate next.

Sequences can be programmed eitherwhen the tractor is stationary or movingsimply by pressing the respective buttonson the PowerComS lever. Once thesequence procedure has been correctly

completed, an audible signal goes off andthe digital display on the instrument panelis activated to accept commands.

Multitasking Made SimpleOperating sequences with up to 16functions can be saved and recalled foruse at any time. PowerComS allows youto customize your tractor’s operatingfunctions to the job.

Instead of reaching for buttons, leversand switches with every change inmaneuver, simply press the appropriatebutton on the control. The tractor will

perform the sequence of functionspreviously programmed by the operator.

Axle Control Management (ASM)This drive train management featureautomatically controls the front drive axleand both front and rear differential locks(depending on steering angle and speed).Four-wheel drive (100 percent lockingvalue) can be engaged or disengagedunder load.

An optional radar sensor is available tomeasure true ground speed.

With ASM, the differential lock is off at steering anglesgreater than 15º; for steering angles less than 15º, thedifferential lock is on. When individual wheel brakes areactuated, the differential lock is off.

With ASM, 4-wheel drive is disengaged at speeds above 9.3 mph (15 km/h). At speeds below that, 4-wheel drive is engaged.

ASM (Axle Control Management) activates with a pushbutton.

The functions the operator needs can be easily reactivated by pushing thePowerComS operating lever.

PLENTY OF POWER —ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED IT

Deutz engines are renowned for theireconomy, reliability and excellenttorque. The Agrotron K Series featuresa maximum power output of 1800 rpm.

This new generation of EPA-compliantengines not only reduce emissions, theyalso have improved fuel efficiencyperformance and long-term durability.Available with 4- or 6-cylinder, liquid-cooled turbo diesel engines, ranging inhorsepower from 90 to 120 hp (66–88kW), these Deutz engines are notable fortheir constant power output.

Electronic Engine Control (EMC) The Agrotron K Series’ engines featurestate-of-the-art electronic engine control(EMC). Engine sensors supply the EMCwith continuous information that isconstantly compared with pre-programmed optimum engine ratings forpower, torque and fuel consumption.

Optimum values are automatically set inevery load application so you getpredictable, reliable performance nomatter the application or task.

Constant Engine PerformanceThe Agrotron K’s power is rated at 1700rpm for consistent engine performanceover a wide speed range. Less gearshifting, large power reserves and hightorque values all contribute to lower fuelconsumption.

High Torque PlateausConstantly high torque plateaus areanother important, unique feature ofDeutz engines. For example, the torqueplateau of the Agrotron K 120(1400–1600 rpm) provides the enginewith maximum flexibility — even at lowspeed ranges — optimum values areautomatically set in every driving or loadsituation by the EMC.

High Starting TorqueThese Deutz engines have a very highstarting torque of at least 26 percentabove the torque at the rated speed. Thehigh starting torque ensures that thetractor pulls off smoothly and efficiently,even with very heavy loads.

Powerful, Compact Cooling SystemThe cooling system in the Agrotron KSeries is integrated into a compact spacethat’s easily accessible and requires notools to maintain. This configurationminimizes thermal losses for improvedcombustion and higher performance.

High-torque Deutz engines and arobust ZF 7100 Series transmissionwith 3-speed Powershift and standardPowershuttle create a drive train foroutstanding performance.

This fully synchronized transmission has awet multi-plate clutch, two electro-hydraulically shifted groups (road andfield) and an optional 4-speed creepergear group.

This design produces smooth, fluentshifting with maximum clutch reliability.

Mechanical torsion dampers enhancetransmission performance, reducingpeak loads when the Powershift stagesare actuated.

Closely Graduated Speeds With 24 forward and 8 reverse speeds,the transmission is closely graduated forsmooth transitions. Speeds range from1,049 feet per hour (320 km/h) to 31mph (50 km/h). There are 10 speeds inthe main working range, from 2.5 mph to7.5 mph (4–12 km/h).

For improved fuel economy, the 31 mph(50 km/h) version can be reduced with theEMC (electronic engine control) to fourthgear (road).

PowershiftThe Powershift function can be adjustedwhen changing gears (3-4 or 4-3) orranges. Powershifting can increaseworking speeds by 20 percent, ordecrease them by 17 percent.(Percentages are approximate.)

TAKE THE BURDEN OUTOF SHIFTING

Powershift ensures a constant powerrange, including the three Powershiftstages with full engine performance from3.1 to 6.2 mph (5–10 km/h) withouthaving to change gears.

Easy Clutching Shifting gears through any range is easybecause of the electrohydraulicallyactuated comfort clutch. The shift leverfeatures a pushbutton that permits gearshifting without actuating the clutch pedal.

More Than Just a Powershift: Automatic Powershift (APS)The Agrotron K Profiline comes withAutomatic Powershift (APS), whichautomatically shifts to one of fourPowershift speeds, depending on thetractor’s engine load and rpm.

APS allows you to infinitely vary thesensitivity of the system with a rotaryswitch. The clutch is actuated with eitherthe foot pedal or with a button on thegearshift lever. All 24 speeds can beshifted without using the clutch pedal.

Convenient Reversing TransmissionThe Powershuttle reversing transmissionmakes it possible to pull off from astationary position or change direction oftravel (reverse/forward) at up to a speedof 7.8 mph (12.5 km/h) without actuatingthe clutch.

The Agrotron K Series’ hydraulicsystem delivers proven, dependablehydraulic power so you get all thelifting, pushing and pulling strengthyou need for front loaders or rear-mounted equipment.

These tractors feature an open-centerhydraulic system with a separatesteering circuit and pump.

Load SensingFor implements with higher oil flowrequirements, a pressure-compensating,load-sensing hydraulic system with a flowcapacity of up to 22 gpm (83 L/min.)comes standard on the Profiline version,and optional on the other models.

The load-sensing system has an axial-piston, variable displacement pump.When demand for pressure oil is sensed,the variable displacement pump instantlyprovides oil so pressure is maintained.

The function with the highest pressurerequirement determines the systempressure at that moment.

Vibration DampeningDuring high-speed road travel, implementmovement, vibrations and oscillationsoccur in the hydraulic system. Whenvibration dampening is engaged —automatically at 5 mph (8 km/h) —implement movement is detected by load-sensing pins and adjusted accordingly bythe 3-point hitch to minimize movement.

Tremendous Lifting PowerLarge-dimension lifting cylinders provide alifting force of up to 13,700 pounds(6200 kg).

For ease of implement coupling anduncoupling, 3-point hitch remote controlsare provided at the rear fenders.

Best Electronic Hitch ControlAll Agrotron K Series tractors areequipped with an electronic 3-point hitchcontrol (EHR). Its functions and sensorsare continuously monitored by anintegrated diagnostic system thatprovides information on draft and positioncontrol, mix control, float, fastpenetration, slip control (with optionalradar sensor), transport position locking,external control switches, lift heightlimitation and rate-of-drop control.

Remote ValvesThese tractors are equipped with twodouble-acting remote valves, and a third(optional) with four functions. All remotevalves can be detented in either raise orfloat position, and can also be used forsingle- or double-action cylinders. Eachvalve has a separate flow control so oilvolume is delivered precisely to thecorrect valve.

POWERFUL HYDRAULICS GET THE JOB DONE

Two remote valves can be operated at thesame time with an easy-to-reach lever.The third remote valve is actuated with anindividual lever.

The control levers are color-coded byhydraulic connections. All remote con-nections at the rear can be coupled underpressure, and are equipped with a rapid-emergency, breakaway function and anenvironmentally friendly oil collector.

Four electrical remote valves are standardon the Profiline version. Two activate withthe PowerComS operating lever (flowrates and times are adjustable); two

others are operated with the joystick (flowrate is adjustable).

Four Speeds at the Rear PTO Unlike most tractors in its class, theAgrotron K Series features a rear PTOwith four speeds (540, 540E, 1000 and1000E) for a wide range of applications.

The flange-mounted PTO stub shaft canbe fitted with a number of different PTOshaft profiles. It can be operated frominside the cab or the exterior controlpanel on the rear fender. When the rear3-point hitch is raised, the PTOautomatically disengages.

Powerful Front PTOThe 1000-rpm front PTO is driven directlyby the engine. It’s activated electro-hydraulically at the touch of a button.Agrotron K’s wet clutch assures smooth,modulated startup, no matter the load.

The Powerlift and the rear PTO can besafely operated from both rear fenders.

The EHR (electronic hitch) operating panelfacilitates fast programming and settingadjustments.

The knobs on the operating panel adjust theremote valves’ flow rates.

2. Work lights–Up to 10 lamps areavailable to illuminate work areas.

3. Front 3-point hitch and PTO–TheAgrotron K reveals its true versatility whenequipped with front-mounted implements.The integrated, front 3-point hitch has a liftcapacity of up to 5,500 pounds (2500 kg),and a front PTO speed of 1000 rpm.

4. Front axle with suspension–Availablefor the 31 mph (50 km/h) model toimprove driving comfort.

5. Articulating fenders–These fendersenable a reduced turning radius of 15.25ft. (4.65 m).

6. Rear fenders–Available in three widthsfor varying tire sizes.

7. Pneumatic braking system–Indispen-sable for large trailer transport. Availableas a two-line braking system, and as aone- and two-line system. Hydraulictrailer braking systems are also available.

8. Profiline–This high-tech packagefeatures the PowerComS operating leverwith Comfortip function management,comfort clutch and APS transmissionwith four electrohydraulic remote valves.

Fast, Daily MaintenanceThe Agrotron K Series features a wide,rear-opening hood to make daily main-tenance more accessible, simple and quick.

Pneumatic springs keep the hood in theraised position. All important componentsand assemblies are easily accessible forsimple maintenance work without tools.

The engine oil level can be checkedwithout opening the hood. A large, easilyvisible sight glass indicates thetransmission and hydraulic oil levels.

Long Maintenance IntervalsRegular engine maintenance intervals areamong the longest in this tractor classwith oil changes needed only every 500hours. (See Operator’s Manuals forcomplete maintenance requirements.)

1. Engine air filter is easily accessible,and a dust separation feature ensureslong change intervals.

2. Real-time diagnostics at Deutz-Fahrservice centers provide fast electronicsystem diagnostic checks via a single plugconnection.

3. All fuses and switching relays are easilyaccessible and well-protected in the cabon the right-hand rear fender.

4. Both cab filters are easily accessibleexternally. The filters can be cleaned andreplaced without tools. Charcoal filtersare optionally available.

5. The oil filler inlet and dipstick are easilyaccessible.

6. Transmission and hydraulic oil levelsare easily visible in a large tube.
