This is the best time for planting of Banana. Banana roots are delicate and succulent so they need well pulverized and fine tilth
soil. Pits may be prepared of size 60 X 60 X 45 cm. Pits may be
filled with soil mixture of half to one kg of neem cake and 5 to 10kg
well decomposed FYM/ compost. As it is often raining, no additional irrigation may be needed. Avoid planting during heavy
rain. But light rain after planting is beneficial. 400 to 500 plants
depending upon the variety may be needed for one kani of land.

This is the best time for planting of Banana. Banana roots are delicate and succulent so they need well pulverized and fine tilth soil. Pits may be prepared of size 60 X 60 X 45 cm. Pits may be
filled with soil mixture of half to one kg of neem cake and 5 to
10kg well decomposed FYM/ compost. As it is often raining, no additional irrigation may be needed. Avoid planting during
heavy rain. But light rain after planting is beneficial. 400 to 500
plants depending upon the variety may be needed for one kani of
land.
