Student Life - Where You Belong

We believe that students helping students fosters a sense offamily and belonging in the school. To this end, our seniorstudents serve as peer and helpers to junior classroomsthrough Wellness, Equity, Music Retreat.  Our Mentorswelcome newcomers to ACI and run a fun and informationfilled Orientation Program for our incoming Grade NineStudents. Our students have a tremendous spirit of giving. Our annualChristmas cheer campaign raises over $6,000 for localcharities.  Students also organize disaster relief fundcampaigns. Students can participate in art exhibits, dramaproductions, music concerts, science fairs, math androbotics competitions, sports, business and technologicalcompetitions. Other activities include the Environmental,Stage Crew, Newspaper and Yearbook clubs.  At Agincourtwe have over 50 clubs and councils.  Our Agincourt Athletic program boasts three seasons ofcompetition.  Lancers compete in basketball, volleyball,soccer, field hockey, golf, tennis, curling, cross country,rugby, and Ultimate Frisbee, and much more.  For those whoare less competitive minded, our Athletic Council offersmany intramural opportunities for all our students.

We are a desirable destination for students because of ourstrong reputation for high academic standards, combinedwith an inclusive and supportive environment that helpsstudents of all backgrounds to succeed.  Over 90 percent ofour Grade 12 students advance to post-secondaryeducation. We also offer strong remedial programs for students who runinto difficulties.  Our student success initiatives identifystudents who are at risk, and staff work with the students tocreate a plan to help set goals and attain success.  At Agincourt, we are particularly proud of our StudentGovernment. Students, through the Leadership Councils,participate in the development of school initiatives. Specialleadership activities train our students to become activeparticipants in both their school and their community atlarge. Celebrating our students and recognizing student voice is apriority in our school.  We celebrate student of the monthselections.  Many of our graduates receive post-secondaryscholarships through the generosity of our communitypartnerships.

Parent and Community Engagement

The ACI School Council welcomesparents to join us at our meetings.  The Agincourt Music Parents'Association is a "vital force" in supporting our co-curricular musicprogram. We are fortunate to enjoy the support of a third parentgroup, the Chinese Parents' Association. All meeting dates andtimes are posted on our website.
