Aggressive Communicator• Interacts without respect for others’ rights

Verbal Cues

Dealing with Aggressive Communicators
• Hear the person out• Ask for elaboration and clarification• Consider taking notes• Empathize and show concern on your face• Keep your voice tone soft• Paraphrase and summarize • Make an action plan
Advantages
• Lets off steam without regarding the feelings and rights of others
• Can command others into giving us what we want.
Disadvantages To Us
• Others may become less likely to give us what we want
• Relationships will tend to be based on negative emotions
• Creates enemies and resentment
Disadvantages To Others
• Makes others feel guilty, frustrated, angry or resentful
