About York Building ProductsYork Building Products has been supplying a large variety of

from our mining operations throughout PA and MD.

#1 Stone Rip-Rap

This aggregate is commonly used in asphalt mixes.

Also referred to as PA 2A, 2RC or CR6. A compactable aggregate used as a base for underneath as-phalt and concrete applications.

Also referred to as PA #4 ballast. This aggregate is commonly used for road bases, construction entrances and seepage pits.

A highly compactable material used in road bases. Aggregate is very similar to 2A, only it contains a larger size aggregate in the mix.

Also referred to as 1B or 1/2". This aggregate is commonly used in concrete and asphalt mixes, a base for poured walls, and pipe trench backfill.

This aggregate is commonly used for sand mound septic systems.

Also referred to as stone dust. This aggregate is commonly used in the manufacturing of concrete block, other masonry products, and for backfill in electric trenches.

A dark sand used specifically for the production of asphalt.

A uniquely colored limestone used in landscaping.

Also referred to as 3/4" stone. This aggregate is commonly used in ready mix concrete as well as drain-age applications-- such as backfill for a retaining wall.

Silica-grade traction sand for use on all CTD street railway cars, self-propelled utility cars and railroad locomotives. Available in 50 lb bags.

A powdery, white fine sand of-ten used for copper water line backfill, and is also a great sand base for pool liners.

Popular masonry sand prized for its smooth and consistent perfor-mance.

Maryland state-approved sand mound sand.

State-approved sand for sand mound sand, meeting the spec-ifications of an effective size be-tween 0.25mm and 0.5mm, with a uniformity coefficient of 3.5 or less.

A very fine sand produced for use as a fill sand on utility projects as well as landfill cover, landfill con-struction, and as soil mix filler.

A manufactured white con-crete sand regularly specified by architects where certain color properties are needed.

Meets ASTM C-144, and is used widely in MD and surrounding states on highly-specified ma-sonry projects.

High quality crushed gravel used in exposed concrete, decorative blocks and paving sand.

Used in paver and concrete block manufacturing. Specified for its highly desirable white color.

Used extensively by brick and block manufacturers. Also used by masons for its highly desirable white color for mortar mixes.

A smaller gravel with a nominal size of 1/8". Used in manufac-turing of block and pavers. Also used a landscape cover or garden path material.

This gravel is used as a decorative gravel because of its earthtone colors and uniform sizing. ASTM C1549 - solar reflectivity tests show value greater than 55%

Designed mainly for use as a coarse aggregate in ready mix concrete. This gravel also serves as a drainage layer under slabs.

These earth-toned, washed, 2" to 4" gravels are an excellent choice for landscaping, drainage and ground stabilization.

These unwashed, round silica boulders are commonly used for stream restoration due to their resistance to water action and weathering. Sizing ranges from 4" to 12".

Our Damp Aglime can help your crops thrive by reducing soil acidity levels, and it also improves fertilizer and herbi-cidal efficacy. We also produce farm bedding for use in livestock stalls and barns, which helps decrease bacteria and provides a firm footing for livestock.

Farm Bedding Damp AglimeA white silica, fine sand used as animal bedding to aid in reduc-ing bacteria in milk. Used in the dairy and livestock industries.
