i. Councilor Ramon G. Tabor reported about House Bill No. 5144, or the proposed On-site, In-City, Near-City Resettlement Act, which was approved on third and final reading by the Lower House. The bill, which seeks to amend Republic Act No. 7279, or the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992, aims to ensure safe, affordable, decent and humane relocation of informal settlers, provide them adequate social preparations, and prevent forced evictions and mandates the relocation of informal settlers within or near the cities where they live, instead of putting them in far-flung places away from livelihood opportunities, among other things.

Action taken: The report and all the reactions thereof were referred to the Committees on

Urban and Rural Poor, on Subdivision & Landed Estate, on Finance and Ways & Means, on Public Works, the City Housing Board and the Estate Management Division for their information.

ii. Councilor President D. Elipe manifested that at the proper time, he would introduce a legislative

measure regarding his series of special reports on the citys financial statements.

Action taken: The Body adopted Resolution No. 12060-2015.
