• Drawing Package = a group of drawings that communicate the details of a system or sub-system.
• Package Content
• Drawings for each component linked to parent assembly
• One or more assembly drawings
• 2D or 3D
• Assembled or Exploded
• Label all components

• Link to component drawings
• How-to-assemble drawings

Bill of Materials
• Definition:
• A listing of all subassemblies, intermediate parts and raw materials that go into a parent assembly showing the quantity of each required to make an assembly.
• Common format: Table with Columns
• Typically included on the assembly drawing.

Lab 6
• Blocks• Used previously for the house layout
(doors, windows).
• Can include attributes to a block that will allow you to enter unique information each time the block is inserted.
• Attribute information can be extracted and summarize into a bill of materials or exportable database file.
Lab 6 Issues
• Model Space – where geometry is created, dimensioned, etc.
• Paper Space – a layout where the drawing is prepared for plotting.
• Viewport – how the model is viewed while in paper space.
• For lab, right mouse click the Model Space Tab to create a layout.
