- Desire by those present to be involved from the very beginning of the process. There is a need to “find common ground” and encourage “new building and teaching

together.” Then “get it done.”

- All recognize that students are the focus. Any approach taken should be “Student-Centered.”

- On-going and active communication is desired. School Principals may be one way to get the message out. Also use “tacky signs” if needed. Announce and follow up on Facebook and the Newspaper.

- A career center is needed, but a focus on improving all school, including high schools, should be the focus. Define what the Career Center will provide and “fit the building to the curriculum.”

- High schools may have a focus area or a specialty in each attendance zone.

- When looking at new construction, “go up” rather than “go out.” A focus on “timelessness” in building should be emphasized.

- Listening to the “Front Line” or the district’s Teachers and Student on Needs is Important.

- A focus on “World Class” teaching and “21 Century” buildings will put Chester County up-to-date with neighbors.

- Expand LES to allow 5th Grade to move back in to the school and alleviate crowding.

- “Pursue Maintenance aggressively” and plan for a sustainable future where maintenance is not an issue.

- Safety and Security issues should be addressed with “Crime Prevention through Environmental Design.”

- Continue Board Workshops, involve more of the Chester County Community, and the business community.
